1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My first jewelry projects! w/ feathers.... pic heavy on: November 21, 2008 10:00:00 PM
I am so proud of my first project so I had to show you guys. Tell me what you think...honestly.
I didn't really need another hobby but I have horrible metal allergies. I can never find hypoallerginic earrings. I bought my jewelry making tools off ebay and haven't stopped making stuff since. So here it goes....

Shell cluster earrings

My first feather earrings. They got wet and I need to refluf them.

The peacock feathers are much better in person

Peacock hurl...is that what you call it?

I made the dangle part with a ton of jump rings.

Another guinea feather earring.

I really hope you like them!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Super Bright Rainbow Baby Booties!!! on: June 03, 2008 08:16:27 PM
First of all I have to apologize for the super dark, super blurry pics. I only have a 4 mp camera! I made these booties for no reason at all, except to get rid of a bit of my scrap yarn (which is taking over lol) I made the pattern up as I went along (yay!) and they are for a newborn baby. I hope everyone likes these, despite the craptastic photos.

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Indian/Wolf Scratchboard. on: April 29, 2008 06:57:12 PM
This is my 4th scratchboard ever. I love scratchboard. This is the first one done with the proper tools, only because it took me forever to find them in the stores.

Tell me what you think and how I can improve. Thanxs.

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Thirsty Zebra on: March 16, 2008 01:36:06 PM

I did this for my portfolio. Hopefully it will help me get into a good architecture school. The portfolio is optional, but i want to impress them in anyway possible. I can do anything as long as the number does not exceed 20. Do you think this is good enough to impress? I feel like the water is not that reflective. What can I do to improve this drawing? Don't be to mean though because I might just decide to rip it to shreds. lo jk but no, really tell me what you think!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Stupid NEWBIE Question. on: January 30, 2008 12:03:59 PM
I am a crocheter, but I want to learn to knit. I bought a set of basic supplies with an instruction booklet. I think I'm getting the knit stich confused. It looks just like a purl stich. What could I be doing wrong? It would be nice for someone to send me to a website with some awesome diagrams. In the meantime I'll see if youtube has anything.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Bootie Cuteness! on: January 16, 2008 09:55:19 AM
I made these not knowing if my step-aunt was having a boy or a girl. I hope it's  a girl, can't you tell?

sorry about the pic being dark, blurry, ect.

I'm planning on sewing a layette set from a vintage pattern. I hope that goes as well as these booties.
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Awesome Dolphin on: December 23, 2007 07:01:47 PM
I actually drew this in 2005, but I wanted to post it anyway. Wink I live kinda near the beach (Mobile and I just had to draw this after I went to Dauphin Island, Alabama.

I would love some compliments or criticism.

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Acrylic or oils? on: December 20, 2007 10:28:51 AM
I've been trying oils for awhile now and I'm so frustrated! Oils take forever to dry, and I don't have time to watch paint dry. I also don't have a lot of money for canvas and mediums (or room). Should I switch to acrylics? I also want to know what I should buy to go with the basic paint and how much it will cost. Thanks Grin
