UPDATE! he just finished telling me it should be creative and last, so he doesn't want it to be something he'd throw away or would get used up.  Ummm and we just started dating recently.

My boyfriend!! We're in a long distance relationship, we met while I was on a trip.  So what do I get a 19 year old boy?  He listens to heavy metal.  But I have low funds and he of course already has the cd's and shirts for all the bands he likes.

15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / East Indian Themed bedroom?? on: July 11, 2008 08:03:03 PM
Okay, so I know I am moving out in a year for college, and so I want to decorate with things that aren't necessarily permanent.  I know I want an East Indian themed room, I don't know how to describe it other than I want it to look like it's come straight out of one of those bright colourful buddha pictures.  I was thinking for a mural I could just paint this huge paper I have and then roll it up when I move.  I also want to get a chandelier (a CHEAP one) and paint it different colours and hang beads from it... but what else?  Thank you!

I just saw a target commercial on tv with a room that would be PERFECT!!!  It's blue with white clouds everywhere.  But those clouds don't look like their painted on.  And since I'm not too good with a brush do you think it'd look fine if I cut them out of material and did some sewing??  Here's the link to their website where you can find out what it looks like.  thanks!

18  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Something small that he can carry with him always? on: August 19, 2007 05:10:27 PM
You could make a small you, with a hinged chest and a heart inside...or a box with a heart inside...or anything at all with a heart inside.  But something with a secret heart inside.  Or a heart, with a note inside.

You could get a little post-modern and make a physiologically accurate heart. I always thought that would be hilarious for V-day.

Oooooo, I feel bad for getting selfish and being absolutely no help what so ever! Buuuuut my boyfriend's b-day is coming up soon and he's in the military in Korea right now soooo I probably should've sent it off already.  We havn't been dating all that long at all but he's really mushy and is always telling me that I have his heart so for his b-day I wanted to "give" him mine.... but how?! Grrr.  Preferably something simplistic  Thank you! Oh and if he wanted something to carry around you could take a bunch of wallet-sized pictures of you, or you and him. Sorry, not a crafty and awesome idea, but it's all I've got.  Even though it's past V-day.... but it'll be coming around again soon right?! Yeah!

Oooo thanks for the good ideas!
20  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Finally settled on a theme for my room!! .... But now what? on: July 25, 2007 01:04:52 AM
So after much thought I've decided on a weather type room.  Me and my friend drew this picture I want to turn into a mural, it's a cartoon drawing of a cloud with sun in one corner, rain and lightening in the other and a rainbow coming out of it.  Then below it we have 3 mountains on is snowy the other is summery and the last is rainy.  I really really enjoy it and want to get a big canvas so I can take it with me when I move out.  But what should I do with the rest of my room?  I want to to match the mural.  So any ideas that you have including bedding, a desk, bedside tables, wall color, or other ideas, would be appreciated!  I'll try my best to scan the  picture so you all get an idea, but it's not colored yet and I think I might take out or add stuff.  Thanks!
