I don't want to hijack your thread--at all! But the lack of a blushing smiley has been mentioned too many times... I nominated this guy to be added if possible. Or at least something similar. Or I guess I can just pass him around, right? Smiley

I love love love the bottom right piece of the food-coloring-as-watercolors set...it's gorgeous!  Well, they're all gorgeous Grin, but that one is my favorite.

Thanks! That one I printed off the computer. You can play, too! Grin  I made it a little smaller before printing, though. And that one took a couple 'coats' of the food-coloring-come-watercolors. Wink

43  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by raina.storms on: February 04, 2007 10:21:02 PM
I bleached the underneath half of my hair. Then I put purple on near the scalp and combed it downward, and added pink to the rest. Now I get a really cute bun & ponytail!

Next time I'm either going with pink alone, or teal (fishbowl-ish). The purple would show up better on blond hair, but not mine. The pink is what's *BAM*, the first thing you see. Wink

44  Re: FEBRUARY ATC GALLERY in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by raina.storms on: February 04, 2007 09:56:43 PM
I sent Ali two ATCs for her birthday. One has already been posted in the February Card-a-Day thread. (Zetti kitty.) They have arrived at their new home, so I will post the other here. Smiley

Asian Plundering

FYI, one of the coins is on the tassel, and one is glued down to the card itself.

Okay, okay! I told you it was a teaser! Tongue

These look like watercolors, riiight? They aren't! They're food coloring. Cheesy  Just this once, I will admit to being intimidated by my own art supplies. Even if they are part of a cheap set from a cheap store. Roll Eyes  So I wanted to make some backgrounds for the zetti swap and didn't break out the real stuff. I will, I promise! But this is cool, too, right?

I also made some shaving cream marble backgrounds out of puzzle book pages.

That was yesterday. Today I tried another new technique. Bleach!

I'm sorry I used so many pics in just one post, but I really wanted to share! Smiley

47  Re: February Card-a-day club GALLERY in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by raina.storms on: February 01, 2007 10:00:56 PM
I think I've got a handle on this thing now! I'm posting my first Friday card of the month now. My clock says 12:15am. Wink

Best Friends Keep Secrets

Sent to Ali today for her b-day (that was Wed). I made her two ATCs, and she agreed to let me steal half of her surprise so I could use this one for my Friday card this week. Smiley  I thought she would like this one, because of her sweet lil' fur baby. Aww. Grin  It's my first zetti. Not exactly busy enough for my taste in zettis, but I still like it a lot.

I'm a proud and happy recipient! Yay! My ho, Dorkariffic Grin, sent me a very cool package!!! I am waaay too giddy to wait for pic posting. Tongue  Maybe this can hold you guys over until others can post pics tonight?

A funny sticker that will probably end up on a notebook.          Gobs o' ribbon for ATC making. Preeety.

Stenciled/hand painted socks! Woo! Grin                                                    A terrific fleece scarf based on one from my wists! I love it!

Last, but not least in my book, Dorkariffic's very first ATC!!! It's SO cute. And the little mousie is 3-D!

Thank you so much for being my date, Dorkariffic! You are a great partner!  Kiss
Now I just hope you like what I'm sending! Roll Eyes

Here's a pic of my box top. The box is roughly 5" square. The edges are still kind of raw because I'm still collaging on the sides. Wink  I only spelled out 'rainbow' because it was almost my name.

It definitely looks cooler in real life--I guess everything does. Thanks again, ninja_monkey! Smiley
