there's more info on us on our myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/sewing_circle or you can email me anarkalilith(at)hotmail(dot)com

so bring your sewing, knitting, crochet, beading, cross stitch etc and let's begin stitching a new world in the shell of the old!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / zombies and bunnies on: May 01, 2007 04:54:01 PM
i made this for a friends birthday.

it's my first big embroidery project so i'm happy with it but there's heaps of small flaws that keep bugging me, like the way the bunny seems to be floating mid air.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / gimp earrings on: July 20, 2006 12:44:13 AM
i know it's tacky as hell but i just can't resist the shiny neon colours:

i made this red and black pair as a birthday present for a friend, it matches everything else in her wardrobe:
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / guitar mascot on: July 16, 2006 07:52:16 PM
i made this guitarist doll for my friend in honour of his new band:

i tried to sew it on the machine but ended up handsewing the whole thing instead. i'm not too happy about the way the head sits. anyone got any good tips for sewing heads on dolls? the guitar was a pain as well. i actually had 2 failed attempts before i finally got it right. it has snaps on the back so it attaches to his palms.
how to make it i just had to make him a buddy:

i made the second one on the machine so its limbs are a bit wonky but the time saving evens it out.

and i managed to get all the materials for free! even the embroidery thread was dumpstered.
