Now, onto the tutorial:

You first need to make your pattern. For the measurements, you can use a tee-shirt that fits you well but remember that it shouldn't be too tight and don't forget to add the sewing allowance. The different pieces of the pattern have those shapes:

Piece 1: The front part wich is cut two times (the second one is a mirror-image of the first one). The purplish line on the piece represent what shape I used fro the pinstripe previously shown. The black one is where you cut the pattern to get the piece 2. You just tape them back together after having copied it.

Piece 2: This is a renforcement of the front part. Cut as the piece 1.

Piece 3: The back part wich is cut one time on the fold of the fabric.

First  of all, hem piece 2 here:

Then, sew piece 1 to piece 2 but don't sew the part you just hemed.

Cut 3/4 of the sewing allowance, turn upside down and iron as shown on the picture.

Topsitch all around the two front piece

Hem the collar part and the armholes of the piece 3.

Sew the shoulders and then the sides.

Put it on and make adjustments if necessary. I add to make the armholes tighter and two back darts one mine.

Make buttonholes and sew buttons or anything else to attach your pinstripe.

Add lace, flowers, etc and you're finished!

My second homemade pinstripe! It's not completely finished, I still have other flowers to put on it .

I hope I made this clear enough. Feel free to ask me all the questions you want!

Cheesy thanks you're so nice! I think I love you too! I'm doing the tut right now so you'll be abble to have the best syle too! Talking about their style, I'm mentally preparing myself to make another vest inspired by one of Brendon's vest!

way cute. <3  i love the stripies.

i missed the panic! show here. (it was tonight.)
Thanks! ? Where are you from?

OMG! I'm in love with your pic and your quoting from She's The Man wich I saw yesterday for the thousand time!

Hehe. My bets friend and I were bored the other day so we watched that. Lame but entertaining... Gouda?
That's so funny! One of my friend bought gouda as a gift for my other friend's birthday and she was really proud of her idea 'cause we'd seen the movie together and everything and she was suspecting like a major reaction. So my friend opened the box and was like: "WTF? You got me cheese?!?"... my other friend was so upset she hadn't remeber!

(... I'm telling my life. That's pretty pathetic)

Are you albanian? Sorry to ask this but the line under your avatar that says '' Oh! Une grue!'' in albanian means ''oh! I'm Woman!'' (like you are surprised to know that) Grin

Cheesy Not really! I'm from Montreal in Canada and I speak French (like the majority in Qubec. French rocks!) And "grue" is  a code my friends and I use when there's some gorgeous boy man in front of us and we want to be "subtle"! But it's cool, it's the first albanian sentence I've ever seen. I'll say it to my friends!

I'll post the tut probably Saturday night or Sunday! Sorry to keep you guys waiting btw

Hey there! Before attacking with the pictures and everything, I just want to mention that well, english isn't my first language so, sorry in advance for the mistakes.

So, the pinstripe idea is higly inspired by one wearing by Ryan Ross (in red) from Panic! At the Disco seen on this picture and from the show I saw Sunday:

(yeah... I felt bad not including Brendon so!)

Here's my version made extra late last night:

(The lines-thingies are from my mirror)

Front

Back

The greatest thing is that I only paid 1.93$ for it, already having fabric and buttons!

I aslo made a tuxedo-like top with a tutorial found here: http://community.livejournal.com/t_shirt_surgery/3600472.html to wear at the show.

(Ignore my hair...and my face seriously!)

And I paid 4.60$!
