1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Funky Swearshirt Wrap Dress on: October 15, 2006 03:12:17 PM
Hey Everybody...

Its been awhile since I posted, so I couldnt wait to share this.

I have always absoultely loved heather grey fleece sweatshirts . Don't know why... but I have  Smiley  I almost died when I found some sweatshirt material for dirt cheap at a local store here in Portland called S.C.R.A.P.  I am currently also obsessed with wrap dresses...so i thought wouldn't  it be funky to combine the two?

And the Sweatshirt Wrap Dress was born   Smiley  I didn't use a pattern and it was fairly easy to make ...except for the binding which took entirely too long.  But all in all,   I am very pleased with the results.   Can't wait to wear it with a long sleeve tee, tights and a pair of boots.

So whatcha think?

P.S.  Don't pay any attention to the way I look in the pictures...it was taken really late at nite.

Here's another view:

Update: So here's a pic of me actually wearing it...looks a lot less like pajamas lol  Wink

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Gangsta Vegan in the House!!...My First Post! Short-shorts from pants...;D on: July 16, 2006 03:04:04 PM
Ok so I know this a pretty easy Re-con but they turned out so cute, that I was dying to post them! Plus, I figure this will push me to stop lurking and actually join in all the Craftster fun  Smiley

Yesterday after not wearing shorts for a few years, I decided (2 hrs before my date!) that I needed a pair of nice ( keyword: not  hoochie mama) shorts to wear out to dinner.

The shorts started out as pair of pants that I bought a year or so ago for $4.99 @ Target.  The fit was horrible, so they have just been hanging in the closet while I waited for the right use for them to come along.

I chopped off the legs (almost forgot a before pic), made cuffs, secured the cuffs at the seams and topstiched the cuffs at both of the edges...and Voila!  Classy short-shorts!

Here I am modeling them:

Thanks for looking!!!
