Congratulation with the new family member Phizzy  Smiley
My sisters haven`t started produsing yet (27 and 18), but on my husbands side I`m a aunt to 10  Grin . And one of them have even becomed a mother herself (she has just turned 27, so I`m just a few years older than her).

MoonFairy - try Craig's List or Freecycle (or a 2nd hand store)  We've been replacing our appliances from those places for at least 6 years and we've done well (a couple upright freezers and a fridge).

We don`t have any of those shops around here, but I know of two 2nd hands stores in the area that sells stuff like that. I`m sorry to say that you most likely are going to get crap from there, but you can of course by secondhand through private sales. We bought our tv for 153 dollar secondhand, and that was a bargin because prices for things like washers, tv etc are so high in Norway. We will be lucky if we find a washer for 460 dollar, most I`ve seen in stores costs about 700 dollar or more.

Yes, you wont survive long without a washer when you have two small kids and also have to wash your husbands working clothes (wich gets really dirty since he works on a airport) ..... and thats not including all the towels and my own clothes  Roll Eyes

Luckily I had emptied the laundry basket (I had just washed the last machine of clothes when it broke down), so we can manage without a washer this week.... but we`ll have to buy a new one very soon.

Thanks to Laughinglark I now need only 1 point more  Smiley

I think I choosed the right day to decide not to enter next month..... my washing machine just broke down (it`s about 10 years old so I wasn`t that surprised), and a new one will cost about 450 dollar... at least  Cry

I have lowered the points on my shop. Everything is now 0,5 point each  Grin

I will not join next round, and even though I have 3 points, I need 3 more for a custom claim I`ve made. So if you want something from my shop, pleeeeease claim it  Cheesy

I've spent down to 3 pts ... off to look at who had the crazy colored polymer buttons.  I'm thinking those would look real cute on the hats & scarves I knitted from the yarn I spun using penquino's funky batts

Found them!  MoonFairy - can the non-buttons be made into buttons withough breaking them??

I think that may be very difficult, but I can make you some new buttons if you want me to. Just tell me wich style, size and colors you prefer  Smiley
