I have gotten in a few ruts in my last 5 years of scrapbooking. I highly recommend looking at galleries online for inspirations and to develop ideas about elements. One thing that spiced up my layouts was investigating in tools. I invested in an instant setter for brads and it really opened up new dynamics. I also got into stamping and making my own stamps with foam. I also took a trip to staples a couple of times to look at non conventional office supplies and thought about how those office supplies could be applied to my lay outs. I started using labels, office stamps, labellers and inkjet transparencies. I also started doodling more and free handing journaling into my lay outs. But i got a subscription to "memory makers" magazine for my brithday and i find it is the best scrapbooking magazine out there. It has the least advertising and the best content in my opinion. I have learnt alot from it and highly recommend it for people looking to create and inspire new interest into their pages.
