2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: my scrapbooks look, well... plain on: May 24, 2007 10:18:59 PM
I have gotten in a few ruts in my last 5 years of scrapbooking. I highly recommend looking at galleries online for inspirations and to develop ideas about elements.  One thing that spiced up my layouts was investigating in tools.  I invested in an instant setter for brads and it really opened up new dynamics.  I also got into stamping and making my own stamps with foam.  I also took a trip to staples a couple of times to look at non conventional office supplies and thought about how those office supplies could be applied to my lay outs.  I started using labels, office stamps, labellers and inkjet transparencies.  I also started doodling more and free handing journaling into my lay outs.
But i got a subscription to "memory makers" magazine for my brithday and i find it is the best scrapbooking magazine out there.  It has the least advertising and the best content in my opinion.  I have learnt alot from it and highly recommend it for people looking to create and inspire new interest into their pages.

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: Q on sealants & glue - pls advise on: May 23, 2007 02:18:12 PM
i really like the 3m line of glue products for scrapbooking. THey are a bit pricier but they are acid adn ligrin free. I realy like their roll on adhesive that look slike a whiteout dispenser if you know what i mean.  Theirs is double side sticky for lay outs and if you dont' like where you placed the glue you can rub it off easily.  It is my favorite
