Thanks all.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Need Help with 80's outfit on: April 29, 2009 08:20:31 AM
My daughter is having a 80's dance @ school on May 8th. It's for the whole family. I found her a really cute tube dress to where, but I can't wear the same thing. I am sort of body conscious so a tight dress is not my thing. I have found a drawing of this outfit and was wondering if anyone can help me put this together...

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Vogue Advanced Patterns on: July 19, 2007 11:05:18 AM
Has anyone ever worked with an advanced pattern from the Vogue pattern company? I am looking to make either of these two wedding dresses:

I am an alright sewer. Have been sewing for about 10 years now. I do make clothing and am pretty satisfied with the quality.

How do you guys feel about this? Should I go for it?
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / September '08 ideas please!!! on: July 12, 2007 09:01:45 AM
Date: September 20, 2008
Colors: brown and ivory and accent of burnt orange.
Flowers: Gerbera Daisy (where the orange came from)

SO I took my invites back to ACMoore and decided on the pocketfold type that I am actually making myself, it's alot cheaper that way.

We have decided on using CD's for favors along with the m & m's too. Instead of personalizing them I am just going to go to the M & M store in NYC ( im a few hours away).

Still looking over ideas on table decorations and bouquets and bouttenieres (sp?).

I am making my bouquets for the girls and I am making a pompamander (That flower covered ball) for my stepdaughter, the flower girl.
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Corner Cry Babies??? on: December 29, 2006 05:11:23 PM
OK. So forever ago, I seen these stuffed dolls that stood in the corner. You would make them almost lifesized. They wore size 2T kids clothing. I could buy one the next time I seen it, but for the price people were charging, I figured I could make it. Does anyone know where to get the pattern for the body of this? I want use my daughters old clothes, so anything that's about the size of a 2-3 year old.
