1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Pikachu Pillow! on: December 28, 2011 09:11:23 AM
So I've only been dating my boyfriend for a few months, and it's very casual still.  So come Christmas time, I didn't have a lot of ideas for what to get him, or very much money, but still wanted something, so I found this pikachu pillow (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=239549.0) and knew he would love it.  Hence, mine was born.

I love him.  I do wish the face on mine was a little bigger like the original, but this was a very rushed and last minute kind of gift, so I'm fine with it.  It's also one of the first projects I've actually completed without giving up on it and throwing it in my closet (so go me. yay!)  Also, please forgive the horrible cell phone picture and messy bed.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / how to add stitches... on: January 10, 2009 11:48:58 AM
I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to add stitches.
I have a book that shows me, but I didn't understand it.
And I looked at a few websites and still didn't get what I was supposed to do.

So if anyone could better explain it to me, or show me a good website they use, that would be wonderful!
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / photography assignment help... on: September 14, 2008 05:01:11 PM
so my photo teacher this year is... well, he's just not the nicest person. He gave us an assignment of abstract photography. Now normally for abstract, I'd just do macro to the point of being abstract. But he made it very clear that abstract is NOT the same as macro.
And now I'm kind of at a loss as to what is considered 'abstract'...
And I was wondering if any of you out there shoot abstract photos and would like to give me some pointers.

oh, and, before this is said, I did ask my teacher for examples and he just went into a rant about how I should know the difference between abstract and macro.

thanks guys!
4  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 29 ENTRIES / captain planet, he's our hero. (lots of pics) on: July 03, 2008 06:53:20 PM
so mine is rather lame compared to some of the other things you guys did, but oh well, it's only my first challenge. =D!

but anyways,

i decided i was going to make a captain planet and the planeteers shrinky-dink charm bracelet.

loved captain planet as a kid.

however, after making captain planet out of shrinky-dink, i realized he was much too big and gave up on the idea.

=[

so i asked my mom what i should do with him and she suggested a necklace.
but i'm not really the necklace type girl so that idea was scratched.

then i decided to make him a key chain.
till i realized i already have way too many key chains:

and that when my keys were in the bottom of the black hole commonly referred to as my purse:

he'd get broke, so i gave up on that idea too.

and then i figured out the perfect idea.
cell phone charm!
but i didn't have one of those fancy things that are on cell phone charms,

so i just improvised.
=D!

yes!
i totally love it.

anyways, there's my unnecessarily long explanation and my captain planet cell phone charm.

i like it both ways, my mom said add the straps, and my friend said to not add them.

7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / hello to all you creative people out there on: October 23, 2007 03:45:24 PM
i have 2 parties to go to on friday and have yet to come up with an amazing costume.
one is a family party so it can't be to slutty/scary/w/e
i'd like something that would be easy to deal with in the car 'cause there's about a 30 minute ride between parties and something that will last all night and last a whole bunch of drunk people partying in a small house  =]
and hopefully not cost me a lot/nothing would be even better.

any ideas i'm open to about anything so let me hear those ideas....
