23  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / photo that i painted. on: June 22, 2008 04:37:37 PM
so being in photography and 2-D, i liked taking things from photo and painting them in 2-d.

my favorite by far was this little angel statue. i love both the picture and the painting.

the photo

the painting.

obviously the colors are different, but it was just 'cause i wanted to paint it blue hah.

wow. that is amazing.

how long did that take you?
i would never have the patience to do that.
although i wish i did.
'cause i want one of my own.
oh wellllll.

i haven't made one of these boxes in forever.
now, i may just have to go make some.

but anyways,
i really like yours.
the pictures you used are all really cool.
that must have been a pretty sweet calendar.
26  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Much Ado About Old CD's on: June 22, 2008 03:59:11 PM
i took the whole wall border thing to an extreme and did my whole wall.
pretty self explanatory, but a picture anyways.

then my friends wrote on some of them with sharpies, dry erase markers, whatever else was laying around my room.

it's pretty fun.  and it's always good to read one from like a year ago or so and just laugh.

my friend and i also cut them up and made a disco ball out of them by gluing them onto a styrofoam ball.  but cutting them without them cracking was really hard. (which was why there's the space left around my closet. hah. i didn't feel like dealing with cutting them).

=D!

thanks for all the replies.

i ended up adding the straps, after wearing it all day, it stretches out a bit and it doesn't really stay up. =O

up close detail.

basically followed another tutorial on here somewhere. i forgot to bookmark it  Shocked
i just didn't add the straps.

but i'm wondering whether i should or not.

i like it both ways, my mom said add the straps, and my friend said to not add them.
so help me decide please guys?
29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Newspaper Origami Star Bracelet on: March 21, 2008 06:00:38 PM
this is super cute.
i used the last site suggested.
mine didn't turn out that good, but it looked like a star and i'm sure with more practice it'd get better.

but how did you connect them together?
30  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: drawing made out of dots! on: February 29, 2008 05:48:06 PM
i love stippling.
i just did my first stippling piece about 2 months ago.
but as soon as i finished it my mom stole it. (it was a picture of me and my brother when i was 3 and he was a newborn)
so i have no pictures of it. =[

but your's is amazing!
