2  My Birthday Cupcakes! in Dessert by gemr on: August 08, 2009 03:33:17 AM

I just thought i would post up pics of the cupcakes i made for my 21st birthday!
They were vanilla cupcakes and each one was individualised with a chocolate heart and everyones names!

Very fun to make and turned out to be the talk of the party haha!

heres them displayed at the venue!

up close and personal

blowing my candles!

heres them saying happy birthday to me =)

ITs very easy all you do is make individual piping bags and pipe melted chocolate on greaseproof paper writing everyones names on its.
Wait till its dry and attach to the cakes!
the pink hearts are white choc with food coloring!

i also made my dress out of a lace curtain which can be found here!

3  I found an ex boyfriend item. So i covered it up because I was over him ages ago in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by gemr on: July 25, 2009 06:13:52 AM

Here is a new gorgeous artwork I have to match my new blue stripe chairs!!

the story behind this is below:

here was the before.
This was a painting my ex boyfriend and I painted along time ago.
I painted the bottom half he did the top half.
grahically you can see the painting does not work or look right.
just like how we did not work or look right....
i tried to paint over it in white pain to make a blank canvas...
but i suppose its like ex boyfriends you can never eradicate them completely....

so i had my 21st birthday party a while ago
and my friend wrapped my present in a GORGEOUS wrapping paper i could not bear to bin.
so i got out my stapling gun and got a bit happy.

and YAY its now gorgeous and will go gorgeous with my blue stripe chairs which can be found here:

5  This top looks better chained on my shoulder than on my boobs. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by gemr on: July 23, 2009 10:11:09 AM
So I had a cute satin boob tube dress. Too bad it was a bit unflattering and fell off my chest for it was a bit too big.
But the skirt part made a great desk chair cover and the top part inserted with a cut to size A4 folder with a bit of chain made a great handbag!!!!.

I dont have a before pic but here is my dress turned into chair cover/handbag!

I even lined it and added a zipper

A close up of the bag!

and heres the chair which was the skirt part!

6  I Wore Nothing but a Lace Curtain on my 21st Birthday in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by gemr on: July 22, 2009 07:46:08 PM
I just thought I would post up pictures of my 21st birthday dress made from a vintage lace curtain and a plain white slip dress.

It was made through heaps of trial and error and eventually turned out fine!
Using the scraps of the lace curtain and some brown ribbon I also made a white lace sash which went across the waist part of the lace dress.

So here are the pics of the dress:

Here are pics of the dress in action!:

I cant find my camera to upload a picture of the lace curtain and the slip dress atm.
But all that matters is the final product =)!

7  A Forest of Drawers to an Actual Bedroom. Before and After Pictures! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by gemr on: April 24, 2009 06:58:17 AM

So i finally decided to clean my room. As a big nerd i imaged i wouldnt have much taste for a fashionable room, but i decided to let my creativity get the better if me when decorating it!
It was so messy and there was just too much storage before that it made the whole thing worse. More is not always better with storage! So here are some before and afters woo.
Because all that mattters is the relative difference.

Don't ask me why I had so many drawers. Its like a forest in my bedroom. More storage is not better.

-The shoes got moved to under the bed.
-And I reupholstred an old piano chair so now my fragrances can sit somewhere nice Smiley
-Andrey hepburn now lives in my room

-I moved in a chair and kept one part of the draws forest.
-Using a scarf and a shirt I sewed a zebra cushion cover for the chair woo.

-I painted canvases to jazz up the plain bed area. Thank you review bags for inspiration.
-Floral cushions were created from cutting up old clothes into cushion covers.
The floral blue one was my mothers top.
The floral white one was a fug portmans skirt
The blue and white stripe one was a supre dress.

-Found a place for my prized posessions: textbooks and shoes. I suppose when I dream i'd like to dream about economics or fashion right..not hahaha.
-The pink floral box contains my worndrobe. They used to live on my floor before it entered.

-Desk was just greatly unorganised
Magazine folders suck for organising documents
-Dont know why I have 2 desk lights either
-Bookshelf did not hold books. Just junk ick.

-Got rid of the magazine holders for they're only useful for magazines
-Bookshelf now holds books woo.
-Replaced a light with my next best friend my sewing machine.
