1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My new cleaning buddy on: February 21, 2009 01:14:28 PM
A friend of mine commissioned me to make a SCRUBBING BUBBLE for him so this was my first attempt at a prototype...

he's about the half as tall as a diet coke can and made completely of felt.  I painted his pupils and eye highlight and stitched his smile.  The final one will be about 8-9 inches.  I brushed him with some blue pigment powder stolen from my rubber stamp supply to give him some soft blue highlights.

I'm glad he's just the prototype because I'M ATTACHED NOW!....hopefully I'll be able to part with the bigger version. heh.
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Day of the Dead Skull pin or decoration thingie on: October 09, 2006 01:34:04 PM
I recently saw a segment on Carol Duvall about making enamel jewelry like things with polymer clay so I thought I'd give it a try.  Of course I'm GHETTO so I never have all the superfancy tools they use on that show my stuff is always a bit more "rustic".  The sealant hasn't fully dried but I was too excited to wait. haha.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Grim Fandango Pysanky Egg on: October 03, 2006 07:17:54 PM
Someone suggested making a Grim Fandango inspired pysanky egg after seeing my Day of the Dead eggs...well..I gave it a shot.  Not sure how well it came out since I really haven't played the game and I didn't find many good screenshots of it.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Dollar Store Mirror Project on: October 01, 2006 10:04:08 AM
My local Dollar Tree had these great little mirror/tealight holders so I decided to buy four of them and arrange them in my hallway.  All said and done it cost me $5 with the holders and the actual tealights.

Take a look:
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Day of the Dead Eggs on: September 26, 2006 08:36:12 PM
My aunt recently showed me how to make pysanky eggs but the traditional designs aren't really my thing so I decided to do some Day of the Dead designs instead.
