1  Herbert the Zombie Muppet in CHALLENGE 15 ENTRIES by fishiegopook on: October 05, 2006 07:58:08 PM
This is Herbert, he's a zombie puppet with a brain.  It's insanely hard to take pictures of a puppet that you're wearing, btw.  haha

edited to add that he's named after Dr. Herbert West from Re-Animator.

and the action shots..

3  Re: Please post your best costume... in Halloween Costumes by fishiegopook on: August 14, 2006 06:49:18 AM
I've worn this every year for like 4 years.. haha  I even wore it to be Columbia in a local theatres production of the Rocky Horror Show.  I sewed all those sequins individually onto the bustier, and the shorts, and my mom made the jacket and hat. Unless the one in that pic is the theatres hat.. they look the same.  haha  Roll Eyes

ignore my stomach hanging out!

posed, but you can't see the sequins  Tongue

now I didn't make this one at all, but like I'd post my Rocky costume without showing me with hot Rocky boys!

4  Re: Phobia Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by fishiegopook on: August 04, 2006 09:15:19 AM
Ok, after the Colorado mix up (apparently someone at her post office wanted me to freak out and entered in the wrong DC number), my package arrived today! KeenKitty is an awesome swap partner, seriously, everything in this package is great, I love it!  And I never thought I'd say that about shriner/sock related items!!  But I had a great time talking to her and crafting for her, so a big public THANK YOU to KeenKitty!

After my inspectors checked out the package

and we opened a very nice letter from KeenKitty with some really cool pirate and care bear items, not to mention word bubble stickers  (woo!)

we found this guy

and he's so cool! Seriously, he's the softest sock monkey ever, and cuuuuute!  He's hanging out with my Dr. Sock-n-furter right now, hopefully not trying to convince him to join his eeeeevil organization.

Here's a better full body shot, with the distracting ugly floral background blacked out!

And she made sure to put shoes on him because I am afraid of socked feet!  Cheesy

Then came a really cool shirt to match my monkey!  I can't wait to wear it and have someone ask me what Fez-O-Phobia is.   Cheesy

here's a close-up of the monkey!

and a very blurry shot of the back of the shirt-- Fez-o-Phobia!! (new digital camera, haven't figured out the focus feature yet!)

and in case you're wondering what that symbol is, it's the symbol of baphomet, because shriners are pure eeeeeeevil.  At least according to Jack Chick of Chick comic fame.  Roll Eyes

at the bottom of the package she sent fez monkey stationary and envelopes, a print out of the chick comic "Curse of Baphomet" (awesome, btw, I've already put it with my collection! I used to have it, but I've no idea where the original went!), a fez monkey coloring sheet, and an article titled "Fez-O-Phobia" validating my shriner fear.  I have no idea where you found that article, but it's great!!

Thank you again!!  Grin Grin   And I hope you get yours soon!

5  Tiny Knitting Bag in CHALLENGE 14 ENTRIES by fishiegopook on: August 03, 2006 10:31:19 PM
I've got some big fingers, so this was a really hard challenge to do!  And even harder to get good pictures of.

the knitting bag.  I painted that design on there with a toothpick because I didn't have brushes small enough.

some "yarn" and "needles" I put inside

I lined it!  a little messy, but considering how small it is, I'm happy with it!

obligatory quarter pic Grin

6  Re: MELTED bead Craft-a-long! in Craftalongs by fishiegopook on: July 29, 2006 07:27:18 AM
This was supposed to be cthulhu, but it looks more like a pissed off octopus to me.  :X  This is the only pic I have of it because I did this one like a month ago, but it's a platter.

and while I'm at it, here's the first melted bead bowl I did.  My star went a bit wonky!

I got my swap package from the___fragile today!  Which was awesome, because I also just got her pm that she'd sent it this morning, so I didn't have to wait long at all Cheesy

I had some help trying to figure out how to get into the box

once we got into it, I found

a stenciled John Waters shirt! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy!
and even better, it has one of my favorite John Waters quotes on the back!

Then I pulled out a Rocky Horror iPod case, which is awesome! I've been needing one of these, and I like this one way better than the one I was looking at buying.

and finally, a g-rated Misty Mundae altoid tin shrine so I can take it anywhere! Anytime I mention her or her movies people always ask who she is, so now I can just whip this out. Cheesy  (note: tin is not blurry in real life  Roll Eyes )

Thank you so much the___fragile! And I hope my package gets to you soon!

9  Dr. Sock-n-furter... In just seven days, I can make you a monkey! (New Pics!) in CHALLENGE 13 ENTRIES by fishiegopook on: July 06, 2006 04:38:17 AM
edit:  after posting this I thought he needed his tattoo (minus the BOSS, embroidery and I do not get along) shoes, sideburns, earrings, and arm thingies, so he went back into surgery, so here's the new improved Dr. Sock-N-Furter!

based off of Dr. Frank-n-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show

He's just a sweet transvestite, from transexual Sockylvania.

Oops, we lost a garter

Sometimes even smiling makes my face ache!

doing a little light reading

10  Re: More Music To Craft By Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by fishiegopook on: June 06, 2006 10:42:27 AM
Yay!  I got my swap angel package today from Kitchycoup and I love it!

She sent me a scissors holster made out of mens underwear and lined with vinyl for easy cleaning. Cheesy  and as if that wasn't cool enough, it has edward scissorhands on it Cheesy  Oh! and "the crotch is just the right size for a comb."  Grin She also sent me a nice letter explaining why she picked the songs that were on the cds.  I'm totally going to carry the scissors case back and forth from work.  It's got enough slots for my thinning shears, razor, and extra shears too.  Not to mention roomy enough to hold a pair of neck trimmers.

Here's a pic of the package (minus the cds, they're in my car already)

and here's a close-up of the pic on the front

and the inside in action!  Or sort of anyway.  When I go to work later today I'll get a better pic of it full Cheesy
