1041  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Researching an old Singer on: July 09, 2006 03:26:49 PM
Does anyone have any information on this old Singer?  I havent' seen the machine up close, but I've been told that the name plate says the following:
Singer Manufacturing Company
Model # Y3839758

I'm searing for site with information or someone who knows something about this thing.  My aunt is having it fixed up for me as a gift (for which I'm truly pumped).  I just wanted to do some research and such.

Thank ya!

1043  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Adhesive for putting fabric on paper greeting cards??? on: July 09, 2006 11:36:55 AM
Huh

Could someone clue me in on how to adhere fabric on card stock greeting cards?  I want to make some sets up with some cool fabric scraps, but I'm afraid of making the paper going wavy on me.

I'm guessing this is a pretty basic skill....I'm such a beginner.  I was thinking modge podge sort of glue would work, but is it too messy?  Would you paste in on the back of the fabric so that it's not super shiny?

1045  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Stenciling with bleach on: July 08, 2006 01:55:29 PM
 Huh

Could someone give me some know how on how to stencil with bleach?  I'm very new to both this site and stenciling...so something simple would really help.

Is there a particular fabric you should use?  What should I use to create the stencil?

Thanks to anyone who can help!
