i have a son that is almost 2 who is obsessed with halloween. so i really wanted to decorate for him this year, but money being tight means i had to make due with what i had, and after reading on here that you can paint on windows with acrylic paints and they will come right off, i knew what i was going to do and set to work on these...
and all together now!
one of the windows is broken, so i just worked it into the scene cause i was scared to put it down...i don't know how great that tape is. =)
well, i don't know what i did to deserve this, but today is father's day. for my dad, my boyfriend, and my son's father. and because that isn't enough, clearly it must be my dad and boyfriend's birthday also. all in one day, what did i do to deserve this???
anywho, i am a little burnt out from everything, i've been awake since 4:30 and for some reason i decided to get my dad a tractor cake pan. so i cooked it this morning and i just spent 3 hours frosting it, it looks like a 4 year old did it and i forgot the headlights, but i'm proud! mainly because i was dodging the toys my son was throwing at me and i'm operating on 2 hours of sleep. (i slept over my boyfriend's who has an odd habit of pushing me off the bed in his sleep. or weird things like last night when he headbutted me and then told me to watch where i'm going and went back to sleep???) sorry for rambling! here is the cake!
i made a little monster pillow guy for my monster! he currently really likes monsters and every time he sees something he considers a monster he feels the need to growl, so i figured i should make him a monster so he doesn't just have to look at them on the computer. =) and he really likes putting things in pockets and pulling them back out, so the monster clearly needed some "pockies" as he likes to call them. so here he is, i think he looks like a pillow!
you can't see too well, but there is a cell phone in one pocket and a dinosaur in the other
and here is my little guy getting his dinosaur out of the monster's pocket
I know I can't be the only one with an insane amount of craft books and magazines that I no longer need or want. I'm not sure how to go about this, but would anyone else be interested in doing a swap? And we could make a bookmark or something of the sort to send along.
I wouldn't be able to organize, because I am not so great at that, I tried before and my son keeps me too busy to be able to be on top of everything like that.
i would like to apologize to anyone who read a poem yesterday posted on my name, i'm not sure what board it was on, but i'm very sorry. it was a very graphic nature and i only hope that the mods got it before anyone or anyone's children saw it. i have changed my password and hopefully this will stop my ex from doing anything like this any further. i'm very sorry once again.
yes, i know it's teddy bears, but monsters need picnics too! anyways, i was bored one night and because i am a compulsive craft hourder i have alot of polymer clay and decided to make monsters! they're all different shapes and sizes but each one has a heart and they have eye pins in them to make them charms or whatever
ok, so i'm not really sure where to post these so here seemed like a good idea, sorry if it's wrong and they would go better somewhere else! =)
well, on my son's birthday we realized that we didn't have a happy birthday sign, and clearly since it was his first birthday, he positively needed one. so of course to craftster i went for ideas! and i found vintagebluestudio's christmas gremlins and decided what to do! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=209815.0 and thus was born the birthday monsters:
and now it it my nephew's birthday, he loves trains. but a PAPER thomas the tanke engine happy birthday sign is $5! which i think is a rip off cause it's only paper and not that great. and so i decided any train would do and i made him a birthday sign too!
my son likes both so far and my nephew liked the monster one, but he isn't here yet so i don't know how he will like the train one, something tells me he will point and jump around and yell CHOO CHOO!!! and by the way, these are a great way to use up any insane amount of felt you are hourding. ^_^
i thought the owls from moonstitches' blog were absolutely adorable! but, i joined a stocking swap and my partner liked penguins, so i turned the owls into penguins! and i think they came out pretty darn cute and wanted to share them with everyone not involved in the swap!
