21  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: sock monkey hat on: July 04, 2006 10:26:09 AM
Here is another variation on the sock monkey hat! Follow the instructions the same, but add ears on top and the mouth similar to the directions for the monkey face.

You're sweater looks fantastic! I love that you used the pink ribbon for contrast!

I'm in process of the cupcake, I used cotton yarn from knitpicks, and it looks and feels good, but it seems that the yarn is thinner and is making the stitches too small. I had to up the size to get it to be the correct measurement to fit.

I didnt have any trouble with my sleeve edging, but the seem way long and too short width wise, do they adjust once you sew them to the main part of the sweater?

I guess I could leave the sleeves of and just put the shell edging on around the arm holes to make it into a tank top?

I love this jolly rodger sweater!! I thought black and white looked a bit to punk, so I changed it to be a bit more colorful!. I hope to have it finished to wear to the Pirates of the Carribbean2 Movie, though it will be a bit hot...

I am also making the sock monkey blanket! Just finished the border today, I changed it to be more rufflely/loopy. Didn't get the monkeys on yet, having trouble with the ears... http://www.xanga.com/weniguna
