Fantastic work, everybody. I think the world is way more awesome already. According to a poll by Reuters, the world is 23% more bearable now that the octopi are taking over.

Sure you can make one. The more the merrier, I say.

oooh, how did you do a cube like that?  I muuuuust know.

Well, my dear, I made six little squares of halfdoublecrochets and then attached them all together. Then I put squares of cardboard in the top and sides (not the bottom, cause then I wouldn't be able to sew the legs on). That's it. It's not worked in the round (if anyone knows how to make a cube in the round, please let me know. I tried and it came out lumptastic) it's just six separate squares.

Meet RoboOpus. He was made one stormy night when I needed a new vacuum cleaner. He doesn't vacuum, though.

Made with red heart yarn, some cardboard for "structural integrity," buttons, and felt. And I think he needs more pizazz. Not sure what though.

I would carry this guy around in my pocket everyday. He's awesome.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Deric's Harry Potter Scarf on: September 30, 2007 09:29:59 AM
I made this scarf for my boyfriend. He likes it. I hate it. And now I have an even stronger dislike for all things Harry Potter.

He wouldn't let me take a picture of him modeling it, so...

Davey was happy to oblige. I think it's the right colors for Hufflepump or whatever it is. Here's how to do it:

1. Buy some luxurious Red Heart Yarn
2. Get an H hook.
3. Chain 30.
4. HDC for 19 rows
5. Switch colors
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for an eternity.

I now am off the hook for making anything for him for at least six months Wink

is it really hard to crochet? because he adorable and I really want to learn how to and im wondering if it would be like super hard

Well, I sucked at it at first. Mainly because I'm impatient. But if you find the web tutorials of how to single crochet, you're set. Cause that's all you need. So practice, practice and learn how to do a chain and sc some rows into that.  PM me after you get that down, and I'll send you my link to a tutorial I made on the magic ring thing and you will be beyond set. It's fun and I want you to learn how. And if you have any questions, I will be glad to take you under my wing. <3 Good luck <3
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Amigurumi Pee Wee Herman!!! on: September 16, 2007 07:07:49 PM
Well, I think he's fantastic. And I had no idea Tim Burton had anything to do with Pee Wee's playhouse. That's as much as I know.

++I like his mitten hands, so cute!++
