31  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Question for people who embroider in NYC on: July 01, 2006 11:30:40 AM
Hello all!

I am new to Craftster, but have been doing cross-stitch and embroidery for the past fifteen years.  I am very excited to find such a fabulous, active community of crafters!  From what I can see so far, there are some talented & inspiring folks around here.

Now, the dilemma:  I just moved to New York City from Seattle, and I need some new embroidery floss to finish a project.  I've searched the Garment District and come up emptyhanded (though all those fabric stores make me swoon!).  Any advice?

I would prefer a place in Manhattan (I live in Harlem), and I use DMC floss.  I would prefer to stick with that brand - at least for now - since I need the colors to match up exactly.

Thanks everyone!
