That looks great, the diamond shaped handle is a very cool touch.

This is the pattern I used to make my pincushion http://members.aol.com/cillcrochets/cupcake.html

Ok, so I was forced to just go ahead and try it myself. It seems to work. Nobody in the house keeled over and nothing caught on fire.

It did take much longer than using metal, but the fumes seemed not as bad. Or maybe I'm just immune to them now.  Cheesy

Those are so cute. I have crocheted a cupcake and use it as a pincushion, but am just not creative enough to have thought of making them look anywhere near that cool.

Was there ever a verdict on this? Will my house explode? Has anyone actually tried it?

I love both bags! Maybe I'll try them when I get over my hatred of the sewing machine. Just finished a twin shopping cart cover and the machine has been put in time out until I can look at it without swearing.  Cheesy

Yes, that is my youngest and only girl.

I wanted to make a sunflower for a friend, but I do not have enough yellow beads. Time to go get some more. Yay.

Thank you, thank you. My kids love picking out beads to melt. I have so many ideas for this my head is spinning.  Tongue

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: this is your brain on fabric... dealing with our addictions on: June 03, 2006 06:35:19 PM
Fabric, yarn, beads, tools, random bright shiny objects that 'could be something cool' someday. I do have a craft room, a big one, with built in shelving and lots of tables, and it still looks like the Great Crap Vortex.  Huh
