bushbaby, those booties are so sweet. And what a cool sock project bag! I had such a major duh moment when i saw it.

thanks  Grin the bag was a random idea I had a while ago that I wanted to try. It sort of works - think the 'top' section needs to be deeper, and perhaps fabric lined to stop the needles sticking through.  Cheesy

Another qui9ck de-stash. To go with the booties and using up some leftover yarns:

(holiday decor)Just saw this uber cute 'Itty Bitty bat' pattern posted by Angry Angel and, as I happened to have a hook & yarn in my bag, made this at my office desk this morning Smiley

he's now hanging updside down from my monitor at work  Grin I'm not that experienced a crochet'er so there are a few mistakes but *shhh* dont tell anyone  Cheesy

bananaleg, that hat just makes me smile so much  Grin

I have also managed a little yarn destashing - using up what I had left from other projects and finished a pair of baby booties for a work collegue - She's having a boy but requested green not blue

And I knitted this double draw string pouch for myself. The idea is that you put your sock yarn in the bottom, draw it close and then put your project in the top. I adapted it from a pattern on ravelry.

Smeddley - I love that word illustration -you really captured the meaning Cheesy

Apologies for the incoming photodump but I have been a little busy finishing up project the last 2 weeks  Grin

First up another painted gator for my sister. This one is blue because in her book he imagines he will turn blue if he eats a Blue Chocolate frog

(gift)Then I have managed (for the 1st time every) to make my wedding anniversary weeks in advance! this year I made a silver wired Viking Knit heart with a dark blue ribbon:

(gift)I have also finished the 2nd pair of baby booties for a work collegue - She's having a boy but requested green not blue

I knitted this double draw string pouch for myself. The idea is that you put your sock yarn in the bottom, draw it close and then put your project in the top. I adapted it from a pattern on ravelry.

I have also re-discovered my FIMO skills when a friend has commissioned me to make some "organic spike beads" for a pattern she is developing. I have made 3 sets of 8 of these so far but because this is her new pattern for teaching I dont think I can show you the 1st of the finished pieces. I will try and get some pics of the other spikes later.

And lastly I made this heavy wire viking knit braclet for myself:

so that makes 29 finished pieces - taking me to a total of 66 for the year so far  Grin

6  Hellebore flower necklace and pin in Beads: Completed Projects by bushbaby on: October 03, 2014 03:12:25 AM

I just wanted to share my latest finished pieces. I have developed this necklace and brooch pin for a class I am teaching next April. I based my idea on the hellebore flower as they come in may colours so people can make them to suit any outfit.

Here is the necklace:

complete with obligatory awkward self photo to show how it sits:

And this is the shawl pin/brooch using the same flowers for those who want to make something smaller Smiley:

Hope you enjoyed looking at this. C&C always welcome Cheesy

If you do this craftalong next year please can I come and play. I am a bit 'up to the eyes in stuff' at the moment but this would be great fun.   I promise not to be disruptive  :-)  ps:  I can do 'proper craft' too,  I don't just play with the contents of my recycle bin  :-)

Nothing to stop you from joining now Cherie - I started this and like you am up to my eyes at the moment with other stuff so I havent posted in ages but I still feel like I am part of the fun Smiley

On that note I have managed to finish a couple items:

Lacey leaf socks - made with the lovely green yarn AIMR sent me as a prize in a previous craftalong (pics to follow)

Beaded flower neckalce and brooch

complete with obligatory awkward self photo to show how it sits:

3x Crystal netted braclets (I only have a bad pic of 2 but you get the idea) -

that brings my total to 37  Grin

The embroidery on these was completed a while a go but I just wanted to share that I have finally managed to get them 'framed' thanks to Ludi's wonderful tutorial.   Grin

I've been on annual leave for a couple weeks (and boy did the time go fast!) so I have managed to get a couple things finished up.

Thanks to Ludi's wonderful tutorial I have finally managed to get a couple pieces finished up for my 'hoopla' wall.

I also had a request from my sister to make her a more travel safe Tartan Gator as she is going to a writers confrence in New York!

She bought a plastic toy gator:

and I have re-painted him:

so thats another 3 on the list.  Grin
