41  Re: Little Chunky Houses 2 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Velvet Rose on: April 02, 2009 06:34:24 PM
just_lisa hasn't logged in for a couple of weeks so I don't know if she received the house I sent.  Sad

Anyhow here's a photo:

I received the crowned lady paper in a swap and she was perfect for a house.

Here's another photo which shows a bit more detail:

I've received 3 houses. Unfortunately they didn't scan very well and my camera is out of action. If my partners have better photos please post them. Cheesy

From left to right we have:
a  floral decorated house from stellato_escuro (this has a beautiful slide window which hasn't shown up in the photo),
a travel themed house from loves3experiment (which has a rotating arrow)
and a naive style house by craftymccrafterson

thanks partners

46  My first scrapbook page in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Velvet Rose on: January 29, 2009 09:38:40 PM
I've been collecting scrapbooking supplies for years and have done quite a few paper craft projects with them, but never actually made a page until today.

I used the Blue Awning range by K & Company - everything except for the paper I have received in Craftster swaps!

As this is my first page I would love some feedback on it.

47  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 42 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Velvet Rose on: January 29, 2009 09:15:45 PM
I received 2 wonderful packges a couple of days ago.

First, a beautiful crocheted purse from teachingjonah. (I am in awe of anyone who can crochet as I can't do it to save my life!)

I used the purse today when I went down the street and it was great. So much better than the big tote bag I usually lug around.

Thanks so much teachingjonah!

I also received an awesome package of supplies from SciFunk. They came at the perfect time as I used them to put the finishing touch on some projects I am submitting to a papercraft design team (I hope they accept me!)

First some beautiful K & Co scrapbooking products - chipboard, tags and clips.

Next some adhesive and dye

And last but not least an awesome Fiskars rotary cutter and corner punch.

Thanks so much SciFunk

Glad you liked everything Serenthia.

Here's a close-up view of the album. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

49  Vintage Chic journal/photo album in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Velvet Rose on: January 20, 2009 09:19:24 PM
Here's a 6 x 6 album/journal which I recently made for the Pink Swap. I'm really happy wirh how it turned out.

I used a selection of double sided scrapbooking papers from the Peabody range by K & Co. And the rub-ons were from the Bailey range, also by K & Co.

I cut the borders & tags using my Fiskars shape cutter. I finally got the hang of it after much experimentation and now I use it for everything.
