George the Manikin is usually perched on top but he wouldn't fit in the picture cause he's so tall, so I put him down bottom so he can get his 15 minutes too. And no I don't like Hello Kitty at all....

I used hot glue for mine and it works very well. dopey_44, it is a bit wobbly, so I wouldn't put anything really heavy on it, but other than that its a great shelf! As you can see I put knick knacks on mine and its just fine. Thanks again for the idea craftaholic! My desk is much neater.

I made this bag a while ago but I thought I'd share it anyways. I was inspired by a bag I saw here on Craftster, it was so cute I just had to have it. So I made one. In my favorite colors and pattern. After hours of yelling and cursing at the bias tape... I got this. I hope you enjoy!

I always wanted a dress form for my desk and I came across this pattern....After about 30 min and a minor medical emergency (Make sure you prep your mom who is helping on the DANGER of bubbling hot glue....) I got this. I made this one for a friend of mine and just had to show you all. I hope you like it!

         

So I was watching The Girls Next Door (show about Hugh Hefner and his gfs-for those who don't know) and Bridget was wearing the CUTEST Hello Kitty shirt that I just had to have. Well I couldn't afford the almost $30 for it...so whats the next best thing? Make a purse!!



I traced the tshirt in Adobe Illustrator to get the Hello Kitty image and then I used the printing onto muslin technique I found on Craftster and used an applique stitch to soften the edges. I used a "bra clasp" as a closure. I do plan on making me a tshirt eventually though....

So I was on the hunt at Goodwill when I came across this bookcase for 3 bucks. Knowing what a shelf/container freak I am I couldn't pass it up. I also found a PDR (physicans desk reference for those who don't know....it tells you about medications) from like '81 and the pages were sufficiently aged. A mass of ModgePodge later and voila!

Hello all! Long time listener, first time caller. I've just recently gotten into this ATC madness and I'm currently obsessed. I'm a Graphic Designer so I decided to do some of my ATCs in my beloved Photoshop. These are my very first so be gentle!




They don't really have meanings, except the House one. I decided to merge my new obsession with my ongoing obsession for the gorgeous blue eyed doctor.

And I just wanted to say all the newbies ATCs in this thread are FANTABULOUS! I hope I can live up to you all!

So I was getting a new Razr phone, and due to my track record with dropping phones I decided to made a cozy for it. If you are or have been a college student you know that your student ID card and your room keys are the two most important things you must have everyday if you plan on doing anything at all on campus. So instead of having to hunt down all my stuff I decided to incorporate the ideas into my cell cozy...and voila!


Closed. The front was too bland so I machine appliqued a star on the front using the inside fabric.


Open. I used velcro to close it.


Side view. After I got my phone it fit, but it was a tight fit so I took some scrap and added it to the sides to make it more roomy inside.

I added two layers of white fleece interfacing to give it some extra padding for my many bouts of clumsiness.

The pattern for this was off the top of my head and the dimensions are based on the phone itself. I hope you enjoy!

So I saw this pincushion bag on here and thought it was the perfect thing to handle all my sewing junk. After messing around with the pattern I finally figured it out. I used the cutest pink and orange butterfly batik material for the outside. Enjoy!

So I took some pointers from the Jordy tute and dove into making my own. I used some of my fav material and fell in love with the outcome! Its a bit small but its so cute!


My Bag


The inside. I used the velcro for a closure. I was going to use those metal snaps but one of them did not want to be put on the fabric and started to make a hole so I had to change directions. But it still came out great!

So I got tired of carrying my straight pins around in a box because they were never where I needed them. Enter a pin cushion. I've seen so many awesome ideas on here so I decided I could make my own. Enter my obsession with Hello Kitty. I tinkered around and here's the finished project.

This pin cushion was totally simple to make. I just copied a picture. The most time consuming was her bow. Now I'm sure if you're an anal person like me you want the details just right....and that cost me like two and a half hours or so. Her bow is pink felt with black thread stitching. It took forever but I'm totally pleased with the results! I just hate sticking pins in her face!
