1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Air Force Costume? on: September 24, 2009 10:02:59 PM
I have looked.  And looked.  And there is nothing remotely cute for an Air Force costume.  So I am making it.  I need some help in the idea department tho.

Im 5'9'' and on the fairer side of average.  I live in San Diego, so weather is no problem.  I was thinking something like a high waisted pencil skirt with a button up shirt under it, with all the right ribbons and everything.  But I cant seem to find good things to rip apart/patterns to make it myself.  Any other suggestions for an Air Force themed girl would be fantastic.

2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Black Light Ink Tattoos---HELP?! on: September 30, 2008 04:50:32 PM

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Drop Waist Pattern Help on: August 21, 2008 08:09:23 PM
I know there was a lot a few years ago when Chicago came out, but as the times have changed i have not been able to find any drop waisted dresses for a flapper outfit.

any one know of one?
4  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / 1920s Halloween Party Help! on: August 21, 2008 07:55:48 PM
So my friends and I are putting together this shindig.  All the gents are wearing pint striped suits and the girls can either be flappers/cocktail dresses or the gangstas girl things.

So far we have a speak easy (illegal bar) thats serving mock-tinis and anything thing else.

But what should the Invites and the rest of the house look like?  Budget isnt really a problem, but everyone is going to be under 21/still in high school.  Music will be just normal, because as much as i love listening to the era of music, my friends do not. Oh well

thanks for any advice!
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Green/Brown Daisy Wall Art for Dorm *Edit Sept. 2* on: August 19, 2008 09:03:05 PM
(If this is in the wrong section, tell me and ill move it) so one of my besties got her own dorm (awesome!) and she got her bed sheets and asked if i could make something.  Having never seen the sheets, i went off of the colors she said.  when she picked them up she told me i had matched it pretty much. So that was cool, but on the the pictures!

This all really started with the love seat I found at a thrift store for 35 bucks.  I knew it was Ikea cuz I was looking at getting it that weekend.  So problem solved.

it was a little boring so I threw a red blanket over it.

[AH MESS!!! :-[]

so while at my sisters wedding, we found a fabric store going out of business. So I went in and found this upholstery fabric was like 5 bucks a yard with the compliment fabric to go with it.

I ending up with this and a new wall design, but thats another post.
