1  Pretty in Pink - never thought I'd say that! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Burgunator on: February 17, 2007 05:48:09 PM
First I made that zebra print top and then I made this high waisted red pencil skirt (which was actually a straight skirt but I thought it would look better more narrow):

I made this top last week and I love how it turned out. It fits me like a glove, I used a colour that I NEVER wear but I like it!

Since I've finished school I've been doing a lot of alterations/reconstructions/patterns...basically everything! So there's definitely more to come.

2  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by Burgunator on: January 31, 2007 09:29:25 AM
Cool hair pics eh?

Well, this was my hair last March:

How I had my hair done for prom this past June:

I used N'Rage for the red. It's something like fire engine red or something...it's the only red so it's pretty easy to find if you go to Sally's.

My hair now (except I dyed it dark brown the other day <3)

I'm considering getting extensions and adding blonde bits. We'll see!

3  Re: Wall Of Greats POP ART! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Burgunator on: January 30, 2007 08:22:27 AM
Thanks everyone.

They look really good! Smiley

Would you mind sharing the Bob Marley stencil? I asked if anyone could point me in the direction of a good BM stencil, cause I seem to be unable to find one myself, but no answers so far

Of course! I actually have four good ones, so I'll post all of 'em.
(sorry about the size! but if i make them any smaller then the stencils will probably be hard to resize)

4  Wall Of Greats POP ART! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Burgunator on: January 29, 2007 07:45:02 AM
I was in need of some unique art on my walls, and this is what I came up with! I bought canvases at the dollar store, made my stencils using overhead sheets and then painted over 'em with acrylic paint I had laying around.

Bob Marley:

Jimi Hendrix:

Joe Strummer:

What they look like up over my vanity:

I'm actually considering making a piece like this for my brother's new place, except I'm going to do each one of the beatles in a different colour.

I absolutely love the final product.

5  Re: Promalong - Making your own Prom dress? Join the club! in Clothing Sewalongs by Burgunator on: January 29, 2007 07:34:04 AM
knittingonskates: you looked gorgeous! Your dress was perfect. Would you mind telling me which pattern you used? I absolutely love it.

My mom and I made my prom dress when I graduated in June.

I loooove the pattern. In fact, my mom and I made me another one for my official graduation commencement in November. For some reason my school has prom in June, and then gets all the students back for an official graduation ceremony the following November.

Me the night of commencement (all I have are webcam pics Sad)

6  Re: old band t-shirt made into new underwear (with tutorial) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Burgunator on: January 28, 2007 07:06:45 PM
I was inspired by this tutorial!

The funny part about the pair I made is that I don't drink beer. I don't even drink, really. It was just the only t-shirt I had laying around to experiment with Smiley

7  Huge t-shirts = cute tops! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Burgunator on: August 17, 2006 10:09:11 PM
Bear with me, this is my first post!

These are some of my favourite shirts  I've made throughout this past year.

I made this top from scratch. It took a while, but it turned out really well.

I stenciled that on a t-shirt a while ago, and decided it'd be cuter as a tank top.

I made this one a while ago (when I first started reconstructing shirts) and it didn't turn out so well ...I'll probably change it up somehow soon.

What was once a mens medium, is now a cute tube top. I used white thread and a zip zag stitch on the top and bottom hem, it looks cool.

Another tube top, and this time I used some sort of lace stitch. I conveniently had mint green thread to match the shirt.
