Thanks everyone! I have to admit by book #3 I was thinking "Who's idea was this? Idiot! Idiot!" so for those about to try it, I recommend taking lots of breaks and also having someone else bring you coffee and cakes.

HAHAH nipples! This is awesome. I have four male torsos lyign around, i should make a ManLamp to match Grin

Which will give you an answer to the question "Why do men have nipples?"
"To provide additional light of course!"

I love it!  It makes me think of a harry potter spell gone wrong and the book is exploding with light!

Funny you should mention Harry. The original plan included a beaten up copy from work (Library), but.. well the spine sorta fell off. lol

Being as I'm a bookish sort of a person. It doesn't cast a superduper amount of light, but it's bright enough to read by if you sit close Wink

And the whole nasty process (not that it was nasty really) is outlined here.
28  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Crafter Shrine on: April 30, 2008 04:47:39 PM
Sorry for the influx of posts (if 2 = an influx!) but this came to me as I drifted off to sleep last night, which makes me think it's been done, but anyways.

Challenge: Create a shrine in a tin or box for your favourite craft.

EDIT: Oops, missed it on the first reading, but it's been done. A repeat mebbe? lol
29  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Material Swap (done before?) on: April 30, 2008 07:09:13 AM
My idea is that for a challenge, people work in their preferred craft, but swap a material for something form another craft. Does that make sense? eg. Scrapbooking with fabric rather than paper, mosaic with yarn rather than tile...
30  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Best way to learn to crochet? on: April 21, 2008 05:13:49 AM
I tried, failed, gave up, tried again etc for ages. Eventually I picked up a copy of "Instant Expert: Crochet" and now I can kinda do it! I'm still a beginner, but i'm getting there.

Also a LOT of tutes on the internet, videos work great, or even photos.
