411  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Renaissance gift? on: June 29, 2006 11:06:44 AM
One of my friends used to love Ren fairs and went to them all the time, got a shirt at one once that said:
"the floggings will continue until morale improves"
Good luck on the gift!
412  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Katamari crochet and a slime on: June 29, 2006 10:46:25 AM
Thanks so much!  Smiley I tried to learn how to knit once, I just couldn't do it, heh. My mom has crocheted for as long as I can remember so maybe it's in my blood or something, hehe. It's just so much fun to crochet!
To tell you the truth, I meant for him to turn out pretty small, only about 5-8" or so, but his head is the first thing I made and I made it too big, so I just based the body off that.
Thanks for the kind words guys!  Grin

aww, what a cute little poo! I've seen a few amigurumi poos before, but yours has to be the most adorable!
414  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Katamari crochet and a slime on: June 28, 2006 09:42:10 PM
I recently taught myself to crochet (about a month ago) after discovering amigurumi, I just flip for cute things, heh. Anyways, my boyfriend and I are big video game fans, so I decided to make him a few things. First was the slime, I got him addicted to Dragon Quest VIII so I figured it was fitting, it's the second thing I've ever crocheted and I think it turned out pretty well for me just winging it  Cheesy
anyways, here he is:

The next thing I decided to make for him was Kuro, which is his favorite cousin from Katamari Damacy. He's over a foot tall, and was a real learning experience for me, but so much fun to make!

He's over a foot tall (standing) and I made him totally without a pattern, wish I would've written down exactly what I did Tongue  I'm so very tempted to make myself a Miso now, but I'm currently making a black, red, and grey katamari for Kuro and an Ultros (from Final Fantasy) for one of my friends, hopefully I'll have up pictures of them soon!
Thanks for looking, and hooray for my first post!  Grin
