I completely missed the last half of a message I got from KerriedAway where she said that if I had pics of the package I sent her, to post them... (sorry.. sometimes I'm a wee bit ADD i guess)..

so here goes:

group shot showing the napkins made from flour sack material

inside the book (I test drove each recipe and photographed it)

the apron I made (sorry, I was on a budget and couldn't get naomi campbell to model it for us)

63  Basilisk Sandwich... mmmm, tastes like chicken. in Halloween Decor and Parties by woobie on: September 24, 2007 09:27:41 AM
I've posted this in the recipes section over at my Harry Potter Crafts group at yahoo groups.. but I thought maybe some of you that aren't members there might like to see it too.

Last halloween, for our office lunch, in addition to the finger sandwiches I posted earlier.. I made a "basilisk" sandwich.

I bought frozen bread dough and thawed a couple of loaves in an olied ziplock bag (I figured a two loaf snake was as big as my oven would hold).. once it was pliable, I shaped it and put it on a baking sheet to rise (followed package directions, pretty much).  Then baked..

I sliced the "snake" crossways and filled with lettuce, tomato and store bought chicken salad.  I made his eyes with a couple of olive slices.

Everyone enjoyed it.

64  Finger Sandwiches in Halloween Decor and Parties by woobie on: September 23, 2007 07:16:42 PM

I made these for our office halloween lunch last year.  They are made with pillsbury breadsticks (cut in half) and baked with a bit of pepperoni trimed to resemble a nail pressed lightly to one end. When they were done, I split them along the seam and filled with ham salad.

I received today from KerriedAway:

A great recipe book.. (I can hardly wait to try the Chicken Curry..) one of those cute magic cloths, and a tuxedo cat spoon rest.. all wrapped up in pretty packages.

I tried to persuade my cat (who "helped" me open the box) to pose next to the spoon rest so that everyone could see that it looked exactly like him.. but he would not cooperate.

67  Wedding rehearsal bouquets.. in Weddings and Bridal Showers by woobie on: July 31, 2007 04:56:54 PM
Just for fun, I made candy bouquets for my friend Linda's wedding rehearsal.. Sorry, I never thought to make pictures of them individually but I managed to crop these from snapshots we made that night.

The Bride:

1 of the 3 Bridesmaids:

I picked up bouquet forms at the local Michael's (If you do this, be sure to get the kind with Styrofoam, not oasis) .

The brides is made of Hershey Kisses wrapped in pink cellophane (I used these instructions to make the "flowers" http://www.hersheys.com/kisses/crafts/detail.asp?id=29) with a white scrunchie used for the "collar".

The bridesmaid's had tootsie roll pops and other candies wired to picks. (a bit of hot glue made it all come together).  I filled in with bits of curling ribbon in various colors and added fluffy pink hair scrunchies.
