1  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Re: Craft/Yarn Shops Bowness/Windermere Cumbria on: August 05, 2011 08:02:59 AM
Hi there,

Are you going for a holiday?

I used to live in Bowness-on-Windermere, and I return from time to time.

There's never been a great deal in the way of craft places there unfortunately.

There used to be a good old fashioned sewing/wool shop in Windermere called Dorothy Rimmer's but that's been gone nearly ten years now I guess  Sad

There's a shop at 17 New Shambles in Kendal called Reticule which sells beads, findings, fabric, thread, ribbons and so on.

Kendal is just a short bus/train/car journey away  Smiley

All the best,

Kat

You've got to check these out!

I've got roughly 50 so far - all different sizes!

They are amazing!

They stack! They are clear! They're airtight!

You can get them from WHSmiths and Rymans.

They sell lots of these in STAPLES I've recently bought a few for various arty and crafty purposes.
Heres a pic of a fantastic really useful box for organising little bits and bobs:

Ooooh! I want one of those now!  :-)  Cool!

Hi there Smiley

I haven't used that site, but I have used both

www.totallybeads.co.uk

and

www.justbeads.co.uk

which I highly recommend for both quality and service - especially quick delivery.

Hope this helps,

Kat  xx Wink

Pistol Ball I am figuring you found the Introduce Yourself bit as you posted on my Introducing post!! I don't think it gets much traffic though as everyone is too busy wallowing in the great crafts!!

Do you guys know about Craftermath as well? It is indeed a UK based craft forum - don't know if I am allowed to post the website address but its not hard to find if you know its name!!
Hi there Impgirl,

Yes, I found it the next day! Wink

I've also found Craftermath! Good site too! Cool

Nice to meet you Kiss

Take care,

Kat xx
