I unfortunately cannot post a tutorial for various reasons that I cannot actually mention in a post (Craftster rules).  Sorry folks. It's just taken me quite a while to get these just right and I can't give all my secrets away. I swear I am not selfish or a big grinch. I've posted tutes before for other things.

Consider perhaps putting one on a pin back, that would look pretty pimp too 

I've actually made a few on pin backs for some teachers! I've also made these:

I call them "Spiders and Cream"

I took one look at him (size of a mouse, I kid you not) and he took one of me, (considerably larger than any mouse.)  He stood on his back legs and I could have sworn he was screaming too! Then we both ran in opposite directions.

Ha! That is priceless!!

I love Halloween. I love spiders. So here are some new beaded spider necklaces to commemorate both of those loves! They are all about 2 inches in height by 1 inch in width which is smaller than the usual ones I make (about 4 inches by 2 inches). I've tried to improve on my design a little to make them a little closer to anatomical correctness by adding beads (or bent wire) to mark the pedipalps (mouth parts). What do you think? I call them "Itsy bitsy spiders."

I make book purses, and just recently I decided that I wanted to do something with the pages that I end up putting in the recycle box. So I started collecting images from the books and I finally started putting them to use!

So I have an uncle who etches artwork onto mirrors. Mostly things like dragons and unicorns. He gave me a large mirror with a roman warrior on it and it was always something I wanted to try myself. It inspired me, although on a smaller scale, to try etching my own mirrors.

A friend of mine asked me to make her a stamped disc necklace with her soul card stamped on it. Basically in Tarot you can calculate your personality and soul cards with your birthday and numerology. It's pretty interesting. Anyway her soul card is "Strength."

The disc is sterling silver, oxidized, and polished. The chain is sterling silver as well.

Just a few recent peices. All sterling silver except the pennies of course. The bracelets are all hand-made from the links to the clasps. Let me know what you think!

Yet another project! This was done a year ago. It's my family crest. In case you can't really make out what is on it, there are two cardinals perched on braches on each side of the crest, on top of the helmet is a camel, and there are feathers on the top and bottom of the crest. Also there are three hinges on the face of the crest as well as a fleur de lis.

It measures 3ft by 3ft and is more of a mixed media work. Basically I've used anything I can get my hands on to make the crest and then tissued the entire thing followed by paint. The first picture shows you what's underneath -> beads, styrofoam, cut up javex bottles, a toy camel, fabric dipped in animal glue, styrofoam, cardboard, pine cones, and even old speaker wire all mounted on the 3ft x 3ft flat.







I recently moved and the stone look really did not go with anything in my place, so I'm working on making it look like a bronze. I still have a little work to do on it.

So here is my giant buddha head. Carved out of a styrofoam block, tissued, and painted using spray paint and various other paints in non-conventional ways. Styrofoam in my eyes, dreads, unmentionables and 3 cans of spray foam later this is what I came up with. The spray foam was used to make the hair coils. It now lies at the head of my bead instead of a headboard.

The name on it says "Kami" and it is a Leukemia awareness ribbon.
Drawn on shrinky dink in a tatto-style and put on a gun metal rolo chain.

Oxidized both the penny and the sterling silver disk and then I polished them.
