Any tutorial on this wallet?

I too would love to see a tutorial on this wallet....I love the side/coin section, but don't know if I'd be able to 'wing' it on my own!

Hugs

I like the shape of the bag at the link below. I've never attempted making my own pattern but would like to try this. I can't tell what the pattern shape is. For instance, is it just 2 pieces sewn together or is there a bottom piece or is it maybe like the Jordy bag? I'd take any advice anyone can offer. Here's the link:

That would interest me VERY much! How would you go about doing it, though?

Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys. I don't have a tutorial, but if you guys can wait awhile, I could probably come up with one.

This is really cute! Does it keep the shape as it looks in your picture when it's filled? If so, what did you use for interfacing?
Love it!

i'm actually in the process of designing a bag much like this, mostly because i can't justify spending 70, 80, 90+ bucks for any purse... my likes change from day to day... one day i feel like red, the next 5 days purple, a month after that it's black, etc, but i love the idea of not changing purses and knowing where everything is... mine will be about the same dimensions, just with more pockets on the inside... i'll post pix if anyone wants... it may take time since i have to gather some supplies and test things that work best, one thing i can promise, no magnetic closures lol i hate them on purses... also, they are way more expensive than i like... i also probably wont have any feet on mine, it may, but probably not... any sugestions i should think about?

I would love to see your pics!!! Please post them!

Thank you Paula. This does help. I didn't realize you could by sizing.

Ok, you mean make the angle itself bigger so it sticks out more, right? I think I do have some muslin lying around that I could use for a test.

30  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Will this pattern work? on: August 12, 2009 09:36:32 AM
I'm combining ideas from the Jordy bag and the Chocolate and Cream Prototype from MssyFshy (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=263546.0;all) but I want to make it bigger and I want to add a couple of pleats. Here is what I've come up with so far. The lines aren't exact in size, etc. It's basically just a sketch. Does anyone see any problems with this that I'm missing? I have the sides angled so that I have extra fabric to pull in to make pleats. I'm wanting the back to be basically straight up and down when done. Will this work? I'd appreciate any constructive criticism. Wink
TIA.
Shelli

I just realized the print is too small to read. It says: The parts sticking out on the sides are the extra material needed so I can make a couple of pleats. Inside the sketch are just labels of Band, Front/Back, and Bottom.
