1  Re: I LOVE FALL! in The Swap Gallery by krazy4katz on: November 08, 2008 06:32:55 AM
Oh Honey!!! Nothing like having a swap partner who is obsessed with Fall.... MeganLorraine totally spoiled me.... seriously, you would have thought it was my birthday..or she needed a favor of me... cause she really knocked my socks off with this swap....there was this really really cool frame with leaves in it.... I had a "mygoshhowdidshedoth at" sort of moment ...it is so organic and I'm in love with it... a sweet candle ring and candle ( smells awesome) a package of my own leaves, the sweetest little bag... I mean, seriously, do you love her sense of color... does the girl have talent or what??.,,... and the bracelet, yep..I'm going to be sporting it today when I'm out and about...

... a wonderful package you say?Huh? Why yes, that WOULD have been a wonderful package.... but just like the guy on the Oxiclean commercial.... WAIT THERE"S MORE.....

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT BLANKET???  Beautiful fall leaves with a pumpkin orange backing...No, she did not send the cats that insist on taking the morning nap there...last night I promptly filled a plate with pimento cheese and crackers, made a cup of hot tea  and snuggled under the blankie to watch a movie.... I'm so in love with that blanket... I want to marry it!!

..Thanks MeganLorraine for the best Fall Swap in the history of the universe

5  Re: Go Green and Recycle Swap (Signups closed, sendouts 9-2) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by krazy4katz on: August 29, 2008 02:43:58 PM
I know Ms fezzle is probably frazzled with school starting up and all so I thought since I have NOTHING BUT TIME~sigh~ I'd post the pic of the package I sent to her...
She had asked for a huge bag to hold recycled water bottles in when they had Sat. practices and all so I was only too happy to oblige with a retro eco sign bag lined with plastic.. ( you can change out the inside as need be)

A bar of soap made from herbs here at the farm, a very random peace sign on an old wooden scrap of board ( I actually think I loved this the most),   a keychain made from a piece and part of a laptop computer a paper making kit & a bird house kit... because fezzle is the builder of all good things ( and after this semester A-1 welder too)..

 I loved crafting for you!!

.. Reserved for Krazy4kats...

... A Teaser...My fav cornbread recipe..

1 box of Jiffy Cornbread Mix
1 egg
1/3 cup of milk

..stir... greased 8X8 pan..425 oven... life doesn't get any better... Cheesy Cheesy

..Just kidding... 3 recipes to come....

Easy Quick Peanut Butter Cookies..
( the ones I made when the boys told me at 10:00 at night they needed cookies for something the next day)

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and mix ingredients ( yep, no flour)..you can substitute splenda for sugar also..

roll into  walnut size balls and roll into granulated sugar..place on cookie sheet and press down with a fork... bake for 10-12 minutes until golden..remove to wrack... you can place a hersey kiss in the middle for extra yumminess

Chicken nachos

4 chicken breast cooked and shredded
2 cups salsa
16oz sour cream..

Mix together and place over tortilla chips on a baking sheet..you can use store bought or make your own tortilla chips by taking 9 inch tortillas and cutting them in 8ths then either deep fry and sprinkle with salt or layer on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees until crisp after sprinkling with salt... the homemade ones give you a TON for the money)

after the chicken/sour cream/salsa is spread on the chips... top with sliced green onions and shredded cheese and bake at 375 until cheese is melted and the chicken mixture warmed through.. usually 15-20 minutes

Enjoy!

Buckeyes

2 sticks butter
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 lb(16oz) confectioners sugar...

Mix together and then roll into walnut sized balls... place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and set in the fridge over night or at least 6 hours... melt chocolate chips int eh microwave ( 30 second intervals) and dip the tops of the candy into the chocolate coating about half of the ball... these things are AWESOME!!  We make about 600 each Christmas as a family and pass out to friends.. we package them in Chinese take out boxes..

I recieved the most wonderful package from Daniethanas...just the thing to brighten my day!!!  I'm enclosing an "action" shot... isn't that kitty face the sweetest???  Thank you so much for my wonderful package!!! I hope you have yours, the DC says delivered and I would hate for your pressie to be in the wrong hands!!

10  Re: Christmas in July STASH BUSTER Gallery in The Swap Gallery by krazy4katz on: July 09, 2008 10:42:26 AM
SARAH HAS NOTHING LEFT IN HER STASH[/color]

How do I know this?? Because she sent it ALL to me with wonderful crafty goodness.. this was a total spoilage package... I about fell over as I kept pulling things from the box ( great packing job Sarah)... the every awesome and multi- talented Sarah made me:

a Christmas apron that is so cheery... AND she sent along a cookie recipe (oatmeal, my fav) so I would have something to bake while wearing it..

she made absolute perfect rice bags for all the men in my life.. good for sore muscles and such

sweet little fabric envelopes with vintage buttons..

a gazillion pieces of jewelry... seriously... Tiffany's move over cause I could open a store with the amount of drop dead pieces she sent me... all differnt styles and lots and lots o variety.. One special set just for me, although several of the other pieces accidentally found their way into my jewelry box instead of the Christmas box... you are so talented..

Just look at those cat scrubbies... need I say more??? Do they just ooze cuteness... I mean it is pouring from them!! I had to carry them around with me for a bit cause I couldn't bear to not be in the same room with them

.. a sweet little Martha wreath for my tree...cause the extras... that's how Sarah rolls...its a very good thing!

AND how about the red & purple boa... yep... now I will be the envy of every Red Hat Society member... they will be just utterly jealous...

I'm going to have to take a nap from all the excitement....

Sarah.... you're the best... Way Way awesome!!!
