12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / is it cold in central park? on: November 14, 2007 09:41:08 AM
because my central park hoodie finished blocking on a day when it is in the mid-70s (which is nice weather, to be sure) and i can't wear it.

however, it's probably my favorite sweater that i have ever made!  i can't decide if  i want to put in a zipper or a clasp -- maybe i'll have to wear it a time or two first to make up my mind.

i did modify the pattern a tad.  i made the sleeves waaaay longer and the body of the sweater a little longer.  i used classic elite renaissance yarn that i got on sale last year!!!

anyway, here it is!

hey -- i LOVE this hat!  can you tell me the gauge?  i am a really loose knitter and i don't want it to turn out huge!  i'm assuming it's going to be 4 or 5 sts per inch since it's worsted weight yarn?

PLEASE post a chart/pattern.  I would pay (gladly) for a pattern!

Nice work!

Yes, it sounds to me like you knit into the front of the stitch.  It's a little tricksy, but it gets waaay easier after practice!  Don't worry too much -- I made an entire sleeve once using a kfb instead of a m1 and that was a holey disaster.  Smiley

Oh, and isn't blocking wonderful?

Wow, that's really pretty!  I'm loving projects from this book.  I should probably get the book!

Wow, I love them!  My husband loves that cable in particular, so I will probably make that pattern for him, too.  Maybe some match smatchy ones for our family!  Sorry knitty turned them down, but they're really fantastic.  Can't wait for the pattern!

Oh, that's really nice.  I have had my eye on the matching hat pattern for zigzag, and I think this has really convinced me to dive in!  It looks great!
