1  is it cold in central park? in Knitting: Completed Projects by laceybatey on: November 14, 2007 09:41:08 AM
because my central park hoodie finished blocking on a day when it is in the mid-70s (which is nice weather, to be sure) and i can't wear it.

however, it's probably my favorite sweater that i have ever made!  i can't decide if  i want to put in a zipper or a clasp -- maybe i'll have to wear it a time or two first to make up my mind.

i did modify the pattern a tad.  i made the sleeves waaaay longer and the body of the sweater a little longer.  i used classic elite renaissance yarn that i got on sale last year!!!

anyway, here it is!

I got the pattern from bleuarts.blogspot.c om and sported my new 'do with my husband, Luke Skywalker (yeah, I know that's weird) to our Halloween party!

Enjoy!

More antics of the costume on the blog.

Since it is the Halloween season, I decided to knit the Leia buns.  Smiley  The coolest and warmest hat I have EVER worn!  Plus it was a fun costume.  Campy and funny but still cool!  I got the pattern from bleuarts.blogspot.c om.

4  blackberry from knitty in Knitting: Completed Projects by laceybatey on: October 29, 2006 05:02:12 PM
I know this is a last year's pattern (fall '05), but I didn't start knitting until March, so I am just now making this!  I had read on Craftster somewhere and other places online that some knitters weren't happy with their results.  I am really happy with it -- I am hoping to replace some lighter coats with it.  I used the recommended Rowan Chunky Print in Temper.  The only modification was that I added about an inch of ribbing for more collar options (rolled over or standing up).  I could have made the smaller size, but I'm happy with this, considering that I will wear it as a jacket replacement!

Oh, and forgive that listless expression -- I had NO idea my tired face would be in that photo!

Details on blog, when blogger is up again.  EDIT -- BLOG IS UP NOW tricotertn.blogspot .com

6  a few things i've recently made in Knitting: Completed Projects by laceybatey on: October 09, 2006 08:27:13 PM
Let's try this again with pics you can actually see!

I tried to make collar me from MagKnits, but it got a little large...  Still cool, though.

I also made a baby pixie hat (thanks for the link to pattern crazydoglady!) I also used Patons SWS.  One of my new fave yarns.

AND I also made Molly's headband from Interweave Knits.

I also recently finished two sweaters, but that'll be another post later on!
