23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / what is your favorite? craft uses for non-craft supplies and objects on: August 17, 2006 10:27:58 AM
I  thought it would be fun to share craft uses for non-craft supplies and objects like freezer paper, which everyone prob knows....

No Teflon pressing cloth! Use baking parchment from the kitchen for those iron-on tasks. It works quite well

29  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Success can be a bit*h on: July 29, 2006 01:20:39 PM
I made up these darling little pincushions once and gave them around to family and friends...My MIL wanted to take one to work with her and show some off to her friends...she worked in a sewing factory...she came home that night with 58 orders...all wanting me to copy the ones I had already made...like six red ones...12 like a little clock...etc.....

When I got through with those, I knew I didn't want to take orders for the same ones again...I like to be free to make original ones and not to copy what I had already done. I felt stiffled by having to repeat them over and over....

How do you feel about this?
30  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / tea bag dye for T shirt---why different flavors? on: July 28, 2006 05:56:08 AM
I read where someone used peach tea bags to dye a shirt. I was wondering why she did that   ....do you know something I don't, about why you would use the different flavors of tea....I am thinking of using red zinger just to see if it wears as good as it tastes.....now that would prob make a pretty color.....if you get a different color with each flavor...anyone tried this?
