I made a Christmas heart using silk. I thought it would be harder than cotton, but it was really quite easy to embroidery on...think I might try it again...My first thing I have done for Christmas this year...made me feel in the mood to go shopping. 

I tried making some ribbon roses tonight with the 7mm ribbon the instructions said use, and they were so tiny you could hardly see them...what could I be doing wrong? I didn't pull tight.

I love making these hearts..I think this is getting closer to what I want...if I make enough I am bound to get one right.

My Purple Heart....I loved doing this one. I didn't do the middle piece, that was a braid. I thought it looked like embroidery though so it fit in. Someone actually swapped my other two with me so I am hoping they will like this one too. This is for my COH (chainsofhearts) group on Yahoo.  These things get addictive.

 I had to scan it in agian,,but hopefully next time, I will have my camera...got the cord today.

This is the last one I am doing for a while.. i need to practice a better way to make leaves..I started with long and short,,it looked terrible,,so i tried to cover with satin...both stitches I need to practice......
I want to do another one of those little purses...for my embroidery scissors. I also want to be thinking what to make for the felt challenge..I'm excited about his one,,,I love working with felt.

I have a long way to go before I can make one that looks presentable, I think..but I am having fun..I need to buy some more embellishment type things, like beads, lace and maybe learn how to do ribbon roses...if I ever learn how to do this right, I am going to be dangerous..

This is my second heart..I embroidered this one using blanket stitch, chain, whipped feather and stem stitch. I had to scan it in so it is not the best of quality..I want my camera cord.. I know it is here somewhere.

I just made my first pieced heart..now I want to add some embroidery to it..what do you think would look good?
