1  Thrummed Hearts Hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: July 29, 2009 09:20:18 AM
I knit this hat on whim to experiment with variegated yarn. I love how the slipped stitches look like little hearts.

What do you think?
There's a pattern on my blog if you like!
Thanks for looking. Smiley

2  Miss Austen's Modern Shawlette in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: July 24, 2009 11:12:19 PM
Mindless summer knitting! But I love it in all its simplicity.

Much more and the easiest pattern ever on my blog! Thanks for looking.  Smiley

3  Mrs. Darcy's Cardigan in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: January 14, 2009 08:01:35 PM
Just another version of Mary Weaver's lovely pattern. I added some more garter and stockinette at the bottom.

More pictures and info on my blog. Thanks for looking!

4  Felted Bags; Evergreen & Japanese Blossom in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: December 04, 2008 08:01:54 PM
These were inspired by Amanda's squatty sidekick, but knit freeform without a pattern.

Evergreen

(excuse my hat in the corner haha)

Evergreen was knit with Lamb's Pride wool.

Japanese Blossom

Japanese Blossom was knit with Paton's Classic Merino. Embroidery is not as hard as it looks and I highly suggest it if you are wary. The handles here are more of a booga bag style.

More on my blog, and thanks for looking! Smiley!

5  Speedy Slouch in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: October 31, 2008 01:42:04 PM
Happy Halloween!
I knit this in less than 2 hours, with only half a ball of yarn. I call it the "Philadelphia Sunset Slouch" because of the beautiful colorways.

Free, but untested, pattern on my blog. Enjoy!

6  Cobblestone Collar in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: October 30, 2008 11:54:38 AM
I really like the London-esque, tweedy feel of this yarn and stitch.

I don't really remember the pattern, because I just made it up as I went, but the stitch is a sort of double moss stitch, like k2, p2 on row 1 and p2, k2 on row 2, etc. Thanks for looking!

7  All the Trees of the Field Will Clap their Hands in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: June 25, 2008 06:42:21 PM
It's a long name for a hat. But I like the Sufjan Stevens song, and the bible verse.

Thanks to my best friend, Jen, for modeling the first two. In the last one, you can kindof see how the leaves at the top come together in a sort of flower. Feedback appreciated! Smiley

8  Cotton Candy (felted bag) in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: December 07, 2007 01:05:45 PM
I knit this bag in a quick experiment to see if Lion Brand Landscapes really does felt. I found out that it does, sortof. The felted texture is the same but underneath is a defined stitch.

little kawaii-ish cotton candy puff brooch!

I lined it with some cute Humpty Dumpty fabric from an old children's sheet set.

Thanks for looking. Smiley

9  Fiddle Fingers (hand mitts) in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: October 03, 2007 12:58:59 PM
I just finished a pair of nifty striped hand mitts.

I was inspired by fiddler Josef Crosby's striped mitts of Scythian;

They look much better on the flying fingers of a fiddler, but here I am modeling mine;

10  Owl Cable Slouch (EDIT; Link to pattern!) in Knitting: Completed Projects by marshmellow on: September 10, 2007 08:27:05 PM
Inspired by craftster's numerous owl cable knits, as well the slouch craze, I just put the two ideas together. I'm really pleased with the result.

The cables make it sort-of ribbed, but the insane amount of stitches keep it slouchy with that great, full, cabled texture.

More on my blog.
Thanks for looking.  Smiley

EDIT.

The pattern is here; http://knitparty.wordpress.com/2007/09/12/owl-cable-slouch/

Enjoy!  Smiley
