Love, love love it. Wish I'd had enough knowledge and courage to make my own clothes when I was 21 and looked like you. Having fed 3 daughters there's no way I could get away with this now, but in my day... Grin

Thank you so much everyone, I'm completely thrilled by the reaction  to ?? (I can't think of a name that suits him).
i love him! did you use a pattern, or get the idea from somewhere? i'd love to make one for my nephew.

I didn't use a pattern but was inspired by a book called Stray Sock Sewing, the photos in it are fantastic and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely precious!

I love the shy look on his face and body actions.

How did you manage to get his feet twisted and his head turned to the side without distorting it?

I sewed his legs with an upside down 'U' shape and his legs are filled with plastic beads which has made them heavy and then stitched his head on  at a tilt because he looked a bit dopey like that.

The patterns came out of my head for most of them but if you google sock ani,als there's a lot of excellent inspitation.
