A sock with attitude.

He LUUURVES ya baby.

He's made from a sock and odds and ends from the scrap drawer.

Over the Autumn I became slightly obsessed with sock creatures, I was buying so many pairs at one point the women in my local clothes shop asked if I had a fungal infection.

And this is just a fraction of how many I finished, thankfully my daughters wanted to give some out as Christmas presents and a friend of a friend bought some as well so we're not drowning in a sea of socks  but I have so many others in my head and many many pairs of Christmas socks....

My daughters were playing a game called Ninja Master in thier Kung Fu class last night and have been leaping out on me from behind cupboard doors, curtains and from under thier beds all morning while I've been trying to get the house straight before I go to work and they get off to school  - this is my revenge... and he even has his own numchucks


He started life as a sock monster but was crying out to become Ninja, I was too scared of him to argue. I think I need a nap. I sound mad.

I've been making a lot of sock monsters recently. I've never really liked soft toys but these are so much fun - I love the way they seen to develop theit own personalities as they go


Little Zizi knows she's a bit of looker with her enormous shiny eyes and long flowing attennae. She's a minx through and through, always winding up the boy socks and toying with their affections. I think she just needs to be in a loving environment where she can learn that it's how beautiful you are on the inside that counts.


Have a look at Neville. Look at his soulful eyes. See the wistful smile playing on his wide full mouth. No Neville isn't the brightest but he has a heart as big as an ocean and listens well although his answers may not always be relevant. He's faithful, loving, clean and quiet. He's waving. See? He likes you already.

I made this morning while listening to the radio and was quite proud of it until I looked at this photo and realised how scruffy my wrapping is in places. Ah well. It'll serve as good reminder to CONCENTRATE WOMAN!


I shall try again this evening.

I'm so bored now my children are back at school - I have so much I COULD be doing but somehow my jewellery box callls to me evreytime I get back in the morning












Sorry for the bleached out photos, it's really dark here today and I think my camera was compensating.

I've made this top for my little girl who will be 8 next week and now I'm not sure - have I made Sally look obese?  I got frustrated cutting out the stencil and painted those bits freehand instead and now I think I'm going to have start again which is a pain as I'm not sure I have enough of the stripy material left. What do you think?

Since my children have been back at school I've filling the silence in my house with jewellery making. As ever I'm desperate for feedback....
