I haven't sewn in a while and thought this bag would be a good way to get my sewing esteem up. 



My little helper there is already asking for one for school.  Smaller and in princess pattern seems like it is on the mommy to-do list.

I'm trying to make a thoughtful gift for a woman I work with and am having a problem finding just what I want.  Our High School's mascot is a tiger and there is TONS of tiger pride there.  She's a sponsor and I thought that a scarf with a paw lace pattern would be a great idea.

Now the problem.  I've looked on line, and in the Barbera Walker's treasuries, and those just don't look like paws.  Am I missing something?  Is there a way to make the pattern more "bottom heavy" like a real paw would look?

I'm new to transferring and am having a problem during the ironing process.  I'm using Wilton transfers for dark fabrics.  Everything prints out great, but when I iron the transfer on, I get discoloration spots from the iron.  I do use this iron with steam for work clothes. The spots are located in the areas where the steam holes are located.  I emptied the water from the iron and have used the iron without steam a couple of times.  What am I doing wrong?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!
