Amazing! These are wonderful. How do you find the time for all of your creations?

These are amazing! It must have taken you a tremendous amount of time.
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: First Quilt! OMG It's King Size!! on: June 15, 2009 10:10:29 AM
Oh, and y'know that spray quilt adhesive? It's complete boulder-crap. I would never recommend it. Why do they even make that stuff?

I tried that stuff once and I had to go back and hand baste the quilt before I could machine quilt it. Luckily it was crib-sized. I heard that the iron-on batting works but I haven't tried it. Did you use a walking foot when you quilted it?

Beautiful quilt! I can't believe it's your first one. I love the colors together and I don't think the quilting lines are too close together. I think a lot of quilts don't have enough quilting in them. And I love the idea of a matching baby quilt.

This is very cool! I have to figure out where to put one so I can make it. How sharp are the edges of the stars?

I agree that the one with the black sashing really pops but the white one is equally pretty. I say go ahead and go with the white one. It's pretty but in a softer way.

Nice job. Good use for your old magazines.

I've been looking through my local thrift stores and haven't been able to find any Scrabble games. I'm about ready to buy a new one just for the tiles. What size bails did you use?

I skewered them on a needle tool and blasted them with an embossing gun.

Great tip. Thanks  Smiley

Very pretty jewelry. You can't tell that you made them on such short notice. I had saved that link you included for the shrink plastic flowers but I never made them. Yours look nice--a great incentive for me to try my own.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: wedding in one week!!! (june 6th) need help with details on: May 31, 2009 05:31:03 PM
Congratulations. How exciting and nerve-racking, too--only a week to get ready!

I agree that you should rent chairs if possible. You know your guests and I don't, but I think many would be grateful for somewhere to sit after a walk on the beach. Age, health and heat would be factors as to needing a rest and being able to really enjoy your ceremony. I don't think you need music, either, but maybe a guitar or something simple like that might be nice.

The tins are cute and the corsage is adorable. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of your wedding. Best wishes and good luck  Smiley
