The Lendrum is a very nice wheel.  If I ever get a second wheel, it's at the top of my list.  Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What is a good thick - at least dk - sock yarn? on: June 29, 2007 03:20:55 AM
I've never seen a whole lot in the the way of DK weight sock yarn.  Most of the ones I've seen are handpaints.  I think Blue Moon Fiber Arts carries a thicker sock yarn for Socks that Rock but I'm not sure if they have solid colors.  Another site you might want to check is Spunkyhats.com, I think she also carries a DK weight sock yarn.

I owe you like the biggest apology ever because I completely forgot about this thread, but I just sent myself an e-mail so I will remember to post this for you today when I get home.  I don't want you missing out on that weekend sale!

I don't subscribe to this mag, but I'm gonna have to pick it up for Road to Golden.  It looks like a pattern I'd be inclined to make multiple times in different colors.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: coloured stripes and knitting in the round... on: June 27, 2007 08:23:52 AM
If you google "Jogless Join" you can find instructions to help eliminate that.  I think it has something to do with pulling up a stitch from the previous row, but I could be mistaken.

Hope that helps!

I have the book at home but I'm at work right now.  I get off in 2 hours and I'll post it for you then if no one else has. Smiley

Adorable!  +10 for most creative use for the KitchenAid Mixer. Grin  Not only does it make tasty bread, it felts too! Wink
9  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Re: wilton's dyes - red on: June 19, 2007 07:51:49 AM
I haven't tried this personally, but I've heard that the "no taste red" is the only one that gives a good color.  I use acid dyes (jacquard) and I've always gotten a really true red.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: knit picks yarns on: October 17, 2006 07:50:18 AM
I love knit picks!  I'm scared to even think how much of salary they get.  I've used shine and shine worsted and they are both great yarns.  I've got some simple stripes to use but I think they are discontinuing that line.  Andean Silk and Andean Treasure are two my favorites.

I've been ordering a lot of their color cards here recently and they have nice color selections.  The yarn colors seem to be complimentary to the other colors for that yarn, which makes it much easier to design a color scheme.

I'm not crazy about their shipping but for the prices I can suck it up. Wink
