hi there. a bit stuck atm, an thort id turn to all u crazy clever craftsters!
my bf's flat mate just moved out (along with half the kitchen).
he was always weird about
his flat, so now that he's gone (YEY!!) we can finally add a personal touch.
the flat is 2 bedroom, one bathroom and a big open plan longue/kitchen. we cant paint the walls cos its a rental (an my boy wants to move at the end of the year), an the same for nails/screws. was really thinking more along the lines of furniture and furnishings. he has a cd curtain over one window, and a denim crazy patch quilt i made over another (as a curtain). any ideas for other stuff like this? im on holiday so got lotsa time on my hands!!
he has one 2-seater couch. this means weneva people come over we all end up sitting on mattresses on the floor. as fun as that is, it can b a bit hard to get comfy.
i might be able to get my hands on come old tractor tires soon, and that got me thinking... wat about something like this?

also, gona get hold of some resin, and wanted to make coasters (there is a thread about it somewhere around here). was wondering if resin would hold up for making other things, like a platter type thing, popcorn bowl, jugs, etc??
U guys an girls hav any other ideas for making it a lived in flat?

. So I was left with a week to make it. In the end the actual making process was 2 days. What do you think about it? Its made with satin and wierd netting stuff. Fully lined. Comments?
