This embroidery is on a bag,  I just wanted to share it over here too because I did it by first drawing on a piece of denim with a bleach pen.

I think the bleach pen is a really fun, freestyle way to make yourself a guideline for embroidery. This is the only piece of embroidery I have done that way, and I am excited about further exploration of that method.

I just completed a bag from old pants for an online swap. I had started the embroidery a long time ago, and the swap gave me a good reason to finish my embroidery panel and make it into something:

very nice! i think it looks much more unique than the usual jeans to skirt thing. depending on the patches, it's like a scrapbook you can wear!

yeah it's totally like wearing a scrapbook! I just put a couple more patches on yesterday.

I took apart my old jeans (that no longer fit, ) and made a cute a-line skirt with panels ( ) so I'd have something to wear out with my boyfriend on our one year anniversary.
