I've made purses with mine. I also use the more durable samples to re-bottom slippers. Sounds silly, I know, but I love my slippers so much I will replace the bottoms as many times as I can until the rest falls apart.
Was I the only one not inspired by any of the dresses last night? Suede's was kinda cool with the tulle skirt underneath, but all in all I was kinda bored!! I know it'll get more interesting when there are less designers left.
Wow- I was underwhelemed with most of the outfits. I did love the plastic cup one, and the woman who won MUST be a craftster- " i made hook and eyes out of a spiral notebook"!!! What was up with what the really really tanned guy made? (I think his name is Blayne?) Great guggamugga! I loved one of the dresses that Daniel had in his little portfolio- they showed it for about 2 seconds. It looked like it was made out of white and red playing cards. If anyone sees a picture of it, please let me know!
Not sure if this will help- but my husband and I went the green route a couple of years ago. For favors, I found little tin pails, about 4 inches high, and planted ivy in each of them. It helped that I only had 30 guests though- it was a lot of work to plant each individual one.
