1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / How to Mount Shelves W/O "hurting" Walls on: July 25, 2006 10:01:32 AM
I was reading a post about mounting shelves without "hurting" walls, like in a dorm room or rental space where you can't penetrate the walls or anything. The post was over 120 days old, so I though it best to make a new post.  Well I was thinking about it and I realized that you could get two shelf pieces. Then, nail them together in an L-shape at the longest edge (or glue).  Then you could use those dandy 3m wireback command picture hangers.  I'm not sure if they are heavy duty enough, but some pictures are massive, so like 3 or 4 of those hangers should hang up the "shelf" if you use heavy duty wire across the back just like a picture. Well, I just thought maybe somebody might try that and see if it works. so good luck trying it, hope it works Wink
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / College Dorm Walls on: July 09, 2006 09:46:15 AM
I will be heading off to college in the fall this year, and I wanted to know if anyone has ideas for decorating the walls of my dorm.  I have a roommate, i think...so I guess that would be a factor in this, so if anyone has ideas that could incorporate her also that would be great! Of course any ideas would be great!

thanks!

ps - keep in mind i can't paint unfortunately  Roll Eyes
