woo, sounds great!  Do you have an idea when this would be?  I'd love to help out in anyway I can.  I do have a bit of experience planning art type events in Madison.

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Help finding skull and cross bones on: March 14, 2005 07:25:04 AM
Hello!  Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get some skull and cross bone fabric?  Or does anyone have any they'd be willing to sell/trade for?

I'm also looking for a skull and crossbone rubber stamp (and I don't want to make my own) ...it needs to be at least 2 inches X 2 inches.

Thanks!

Hello!  I am not very experienced at making clothes but I'd REALLY like and try to make a dress like the following:

<<removed link to broken image>>

It's a hooded patchwork dress with sleeves...I love it and I love the really full skirt on it.  Any ideas?
thanks!

To the person who made the comment about a $500 button making machine...I bought the one inch one for under $200 from this guy

http://stores.ebay.com/Button-Supplies-and-General-Store_W0QQsspagenameZL2QQtZkm

on ebay and it's GREAT.  Very professional looking buttons, all metal, etc...I also buy supplies from him as well.  The buttons come out to costing less the 5 cents to make (that's not including the cost of the machine though).

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Help with Resin bracelet please :) on: May 26, 2004 03:55:56 PM
Ok, I've seen a lot of these around and i'd like to make my own but I have no idea how.  First off, where do I get resin...I mean, is there a certain brand name I should look for?  Next, where do I get molds and how do you keep the resin from sticking to the mold?  Is it easy to get it out once its hardened?  Here is a bracelet I want to make (minus the bugs, I want to stick something else inside)...any ideas?

8  UNITED STATES / Wisconsin / Re: Wisconsin Thrift stores.... on: May 23, 2004 05:55:06 PM
I'd love a list of GOOD madison thrift shops.  I went to Goodwill today and was somewhat disappointed...seem s their prices keep getting higher.  I mean, $13 for a used dress? They are suppose to be $7.99 but I guess the take the nicer ones and mark them up to $13 which i think is wrong.  And every time I find a t-shirt I like it's a $3.99 one instead of $1.99...I'm getting fed up with them.

I do find a lot of good stuff at garage sales as well but you have to really look because most of it is baby clothes are old farty stuff LOL

Hi!  I'll be spending about 4 weeks in the Berkshire area (with a trip or two to London) so I was wondering if anyone had any tips for places/shops to visit?  Crafty related or just fun/interesting.
Thanks!
