Nice work! I think they're all adorable! I especially love that yellow dress.  Would you mind revealing which pattern you used for this?

Girl, it's still there! However, it's called "Lucy in Disguise".  Have fun!

I've been to an Arts and Draughts night.  It's really fun! I just brought my embroidery and chatted with people for a few hours.  I definitely recommend going, if you haven't gone yet!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: sewing with knit/strech fabrics book on: July 29, 2008 04:00:45 AM
Try Wendy Mullin's Built By You Home Stretch book.  I've since conquered my fear of knits and am obsessed with making stuff with with them!
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Print Gocco Machine - worth it? on: April 30, 2008 05:06:54 PM
I have a B6 machine and I loooooove it.  I've used it to print on both paper and fabric.  However, you have to buy special fabric paint if you want to print on fabric.

The results are gorgeous! I really don't think you can get the same effect from just printing from an inkjet printer.
6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Book Reviews on: April 30, 2008 10:25:13 AM
This isn't a new topic suggestion, but I really liked it when Craftster had a "Books & Magazines" topic.  I think the threads were merged into the relevant topics, like sewing books under sewing, etc.  It was so much easier to peruse the threads and see what sewing books people were talking about.

i bought it as soon as i saw that it was in stock at amazon.  i LOVE it!

do you have her first book? it's pretty similar, but for knits.  the one big difference is that she goes through the variations step by step.  if you remember, in the first book she's all "here's a western shirt! a funny ruffled shirt!" however, here, she shows you how to alter the pattern yourself and put it together.

i made the bubble dress from the book yesterday and it came out great!

Have you looked at the Builty By Wendy patterns from Simplicity? They're my favorite and really ahead of the curve.
9  Texas / Texas: Central / Re: Yarn shops in Austin? (or other crafty places to check out) on: December 13, 2007 01:04:59 PM
I absolutely LOVE Hill Country Weavers, on South Congress.  It's a tiny house converted into a store, but it's chock full of all kinds of yarns, knitting books, needles and everything.  Enjoy!

You might also want to try Parts and Labor, on South Congress (my 'hood).  They sell stuff from local independent designers.  Good luck!
