1  Two yellow purses I made. in Knitting: Completed Projects by deciduous on: May 28, 2007 05:09:12 PM
So, I got this vintage mystery ball of yarn from my friend's mom, and I had no idea what to do with it.  What does one do with a single ball of impossibly fuzzly, variegated, synthetic, 70s, very yellow yarn, anyway?  Make adorable mini-purses of course!

So that's what I did.  They are very similar, being the same size and having the same i-cord handles, but they differ in how they close.  One is open on the top with a ruffle and the other has a ruffled flap that doesn't like to stay down.  I lined them with floral twill fabric.  They really are very little.  Only 3 1/2 inches tall.

2  I made myself a summer dress. Simplicity 3823 in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by deciduous on: May 06, 2007 04:50:10 PM
Hey all!

This is only the second dress I've made, and the first halfway decent one.  I really like it.  Pictures!

And,

Do you like it?  'Cause I freakin' love it.  I'm gonna wear it all summer.
