My favourite ornament is a small faded plastic santa that was on our tree when I was a child. It is on my tree now and it is at least 40 years old.

I have two mediums done, one was an extension to a craft that I already do, and it was interesting. Turned out well.

a thousand apologies to my two lovely partners. I had the stuff all ready to mail out last week, but I am in a different house Monday-friday for work, and I forgot to put it in my car in the rush of being back to work this week, after such a lovely holidays.

Home now and while the postoffice doesn't open at the weekends here, they will be in the mail on Monday, bright and early

I am here, it is the start of the academic year adn I am sitting at my desk, shellshocked. But it means that I can focus on this swap now. I have ordered up some stuff online, but no crafting done yet. Lots of ideas though

I spent a few hours working on my envelope today and then realized it's going to be very susceptible to water damage - from rain or postal worker hands Undecided. Hmmm, I might have to find something to cover it in...just in case.

I've made my envelopes but I think I'm going to pop them into post bags anyway, seeing as how they could be damaged easily

I am going to do the same, because travelling across the pond would mean that my envelopes would be subject to all sorts of abuse.

I've all my doodads made, and spent time yesterday doing XXXX to paper for the envies. My only trouble will be making sure the whole thing stays together as it floats across the pond.

Question, Given the fact that I am making the evies from two pieces of paper (probably!) would be be a terrible thing if I put the decorated envelope in a plastic one to protect it. It means that my partners won't see the decorated envie until the open up the first one???

I would love to bring one of those crocheted ladies that covered toilet rolls in the 70s, except I don't have the patience to crochet, they do take skill I will admit. I would definitely give it to my friend who's house is so painfully beautifully up to date, grown up and tasteful.
